Sorry for repeating the question, but, is this project still alive? Is the person responsible for it possible to make contact with? It would be a real shame if we received the source code, only for the only person who has it to completely vanish. I'm more than willing to translate the game if there...

I improved the SweetFX config, the dithering is now decreased a bit and it improved color gradients, especially in very dark and very bright areas. The overall image is now a little smoother because I enabled FXAA, as this seems to work better for 2D games than SMAA, but most detail is still there. ...

Hello and welcome, fellow Members! I've been struck with a nostalgia fever and dug out my Monkey Island 3 cds. I've successfully installed it and the thing runs without problems. Now I'm thinking about tweaking the graphics a little bit - to make them seem less "rugged", if you know what ...

That sounds like the kind of thing that could easily cause a lot of unforeseen glitches. I'm just speculating here, but for instance, if a non-player character enters the scene, he might not even exist beyond the original edge of the screen, or it could mess with the composition of the scene. One e...

Widescreen support for games with scrolling backgrounds?
I asked myself this for a while: Why do adventure games in ScummVM with horizontal scrolling backgrounds still have black bars at the sides, when you could just extend the background area without any stretching to a 16:9 display... Would it really be that much coding effort to realize this? There ar...

The author of XBRz did a ScummVM implementation himself, couldn't you just use his code?

Well, Dosbox Daum supports shaders in .fx format and there is a quite nice CRT shader, which emulates the behaviour of an old CRT screen and it's quite accurate: https://i.imgur.com/m6kP3TT.png You can even adjust the amount of curvature. I think it looks much better as if you just upscaled it to 10...
