While this ended up being largely ignored, fortunately the issue has now been fixed when playing the game on a real Mega-CD.

Apparently, this (odd) problem was derived of setting up the shadow mode of palette colours of the Mega Drive as default.

Re: Blade Runner on Dreamcast
Thank you for checking that out. I thought The Curse of Monkey Island ran well at first but slowly starts having problem when the game progresses and starts to load extensively, especially regarding sound issues. Could you try to play it without sound to see if the game runs better? Hoping that with...

Re: Blade Runner on Dreamcast
You'd think a Dreamcast version of ResidualVM could benefit from the 32MB RAM upgrade too? It would be very interesting to see games like Grim Fandango and Escape from Monkey Island running on the Dreamcast, as they are much more fitting for console gameplay than most of ScummVM games.

Re: Blade Runner on Dreamcast
It needs more than 16MB of RAM to run, so it will not run on an unmodified Dreamcast. With 32MB of RAM it runs at least to the first screen which is all I have tested. So the Dreamcast version of ScummVM is already taking into account the 32MB RAM upgrade? That's interesting. Since the upgrade has ...

Re: Art thou worthy to be the Avatar?
Well, I suppose if ScummVM is aiming for the complete Ultima series, sooner or later Exult and both Ultima VII games will be incorporated. The Ultima VII games are essential to the series and probably among the most widespread ones (together with Ultima VIII, they were the ones with most localizatio...

Re: Art thou worthy to be the Avatar?
I see Ultima VIII is also planned to be supported through the reimplementation of the Pentagram engine. Is Ultima VII (The Black Gate and Serpent Isle) planned to be added too? Both Ultima VII games are reimplemented thanks to the Exult engine. Also, the addition of the Pentagram engine may also led...

The Secret of Monkey Island - Mega-CD vs ScummVM
What's ScummVM supposed to do with the Mega-CD version of The Secret of Monkey Island when running it? Is it modifying it's display or graphics somehow? I ask this because one prominent feature of the Mega-CD version is that it's dark , very dark . You can clearly notice this when you run the game e...

Re: EMI PS2 -> PC
Higher Quality Audio (status: success ) The PS2 videos have 48kHz uncompressed audio tracks, while the PC version has 22kHz bink audio. This is relatively straight-forward to add to the PC version, though it requires some Windows-exclusive tools: Demux all the PS2 videos using PSS Demux . Cut the S...

OpenGL issues with PS2 version of EMI
Hello. Is it just me, or the PS2 version doesn't seem to get along well with OpenGL? I only get to work it right using Software, which graphics-wise seems to be more or less the same than using a PS2 emulator. When using OpenGL, if I play the game windowed, althought it starts well, when you get to ...

Space Quest series naming convention
Maybe this is a little nitpicky, but I like paying attention to these details so I feel like bringing this up. The Space Quest series had two distinctive naming conventions going on during their time. First were the "Space Quest: something" games and then the "Space Quest: Roger Wilco...

Please, if you ever get the version with English subtitles working, then make the Spanish version compatible too. Installers were done to be applied to both the Windows version and the MS-DOS version so it should be no problem to give it official compatibility. https://www.mediafire.com/file/7lhb1z6...

Re: Phantasmagoria subtitles function discovered
I have just tried around a bit. I can get those hint keeper text windows, but it seems it doesn't work with audio at the same time atm. For those cases, I get a window, but "%" is written in it. Which means script patches will be needed. Shouldn't be a big problem. We already patched in s...

Oh, thank you. I couldn't find myself any trace of the backstory regarding how this was achieved, just these proofs of subtitling the game present in that Youtube channel. I guess Phantasmagoria: A Puzzle of Flesh will be done in a similar way. Too bad the same can't be for the FMV cutscenes, it wou...
