Both of those should work. LSL6 could have some graphic glitches though.DJANGO wrote:PS. I´m testing now Larry 5 and Larry 6, keep an eye on me...

There were also death scenes in LucasArts games. And the death scenes in Broken Sword were never as frustrating as they were at Sierra's games. I meant games like Monkey Island series, Day of the tentacle etc. LucasArts even made fun of sierra death scenes. Of course you could die in FoA and indy3 ...

It seems that the dying scenes have been removed. They were removed on Wii as well. Anyway I prefer that version a lot. The death scenes didnt really fit. It was like 95% lucasarts-like (no death) and 5% sierra-like (instant deathtraps). I don't think that they were actually censored, but were remo...

By updating the game engines to be compatable with current OSs/Platforms, it's just like translating an old text from an old language that isn't spoken anymore like Sumerian (Dos), into the current ones like English\Spanish (Win\iphone,etc.). Its like decrypting and understanding some ancient forei...

The official release by sierra does not contain any lzh file, also the CD version is much bigger. There is also no kq5.exe file on either the floppy nor cd version. I guess you got a pirated floppy version burned on CD.bambamfox wrote:.... yes there is no Zip-file in it, it's an Lzh-file (KQ5.LZH) - 9.064kb

The undithering algorithm in ScummVM is superior, as it processes both backgrounds and sprites, whereas in FreeSCI only backgrounds are processed Does it process each component of the scene individually or is it applied on fully rendered scene? It's a separated process. First the background picture...

32 colors is not enough. If amiga would have been capable of displaying 256 colors, I bet they would have done so. Why 256? Because dithered sci pictures are able to contain almost up to 256 colors in total. It's the EGA palette (16 colors) and all those colors mixed with each other. They could sti...

But if Sierra REALLY wanted to offer more than 16 colours, why didn't the Amiga versions of the SCI0 games, capable of displaying 32 colours, use these supposedly extra defined colours? 32 colors is not enough. If amiga would have been capable of displaying 256 colors, I bet they would have done so.
