- Checking the IF_3DO variable occurrences in code and reading the accompaining comments, I saw there are other features in 3DO version worth letting not scape, as digital music, which I was not aware of. I am not sure which wll be the value to the contribution of the project if I start crossing mo...

One of the points of these versions is to be able to play in dos, so i doubt any scummvm patch format will be taken up. The original interpreter supported patch files. Some SCI interpreters supported one naming scheme. Some others supported another naming scheme. We support all of those naming sche...

Their 'logic' is that since some of the data (even if it's a bitmap or something) was from a copy protected version and was imported into a version without copy protection this is a 'new' pirate version instead of a mod. It's what happened with the space quest IV text+audio patch. The reason why hi...

The thing is: All of the current graphics code for SCI32 is literally guessed by us, none of it was properly reverse engineered. This was done to figure out how SCI32 handled graphics internally. It's nice to have especially Gabriel Knight 1 looks pretty good considering that everything was guessed....

Might I add that in both games - GK1 and QfG4 - the main portions of the graphics are so badly upscaled that I suggest not bothering with hires at all. Gabriel Knight 1 has all sorts of hires views included for example the newspaper and the magnifying glass right at the start of the game are hires....

I'm having several EGA games (both Scumm and SCI) added to ScummVM and none of them show that option. Undithering is only possible for true SCI EGA games. Which is all SCI games up to SCI01, including Quest For Glory 2 (which is SCI1 EGA). For those games the option should sppear. EGA versions of S...

Re: Behind the Developer's Shield
What files do i use to get scummvm to recognize "Behind the Developer's Shield"? You were right when you copied both directories together. That's what effectively the Sierra interpreter is doing internally. It won't get detected as "Behind the developer's shield", because it's s...

Re: Thanks, yo.
The menu that is in question is the run/sleep/walk menu. It is not possible to click anything in there really fast. You don't have to click that fast. You just have to move the cursor down really fast right after clicking. It barely appears as it is. I played QFG 1 VGA and the menu worked fine. The...

Re: ScummVM error/glitches Quest For Glory 3
When I got to Quest for Glory 3, it imported my character just fine, but the special actions menu does NOT work. You click the icon to drop it down, but it only appears there for a second on the screen. That's strange. I implemented a workaround for this game issue years ago. Which version of Scumm...

Re: Freddy Pharkas floppy version
"Great!" I thought, "Now I can play it without that ugly dithering." Undithering is only supported for the older EGA-only Sierra 16-color games (SCI0 to SCI1EGA). Freddy Pharkas is a SCI1.1 VGA game. Which already uses 256 colors. Unfortunately it seems to be one of those games ...
