As for the copy protection, it will be a great pleasure if some of it can be removed, that is, the ones that were not tied with storylines. A few examples: - King's Quest 4 (there's actualy a debug mode that can bypass this. Too bad it cannot be activated in ScummVM) - Colonel's Bequest; the finger...

SCI0-SCI1.1 used a 16-bit real mode interpreter
SCI2-SCI3 used a 32-bit protected mode interpreter - and that's the reason, why we call SCI2-SCI3 "SCI32".
Internally SCI2/SCI2.1 still used 16-bit for the actual VM.

Space Quest 6 is SCI2.1 - it actually already works somewhat using a daily build (which means intro works and you can play a bit around in the first few screens), but it will take a long time till it will get officially supported Willy Beamish uses Dynamix Game Development System. Maybe this will ge...

Re: ScummVM 1.2.0 "FaSCInating release" is here!
Nice! Early SCI 16-color games can be optionally undithered by ScummVM, making them look much better. Well, that's subjective. I wish you guys would have disabled it by default or at least made the undither option a little more accessible than going into the console all the time. For those of us th...

Re: Laura Bow CD version and Zak McKracken V2 spanish versio
Hello there, I've tried Laura Bow CD version and I've set the audio to both speech and text mode in the scummvm menu (in the 'edit game' menu) but it doesn't work correctly. There is only speech or only text. In the game there isn't this speech and text in same time option, either. That's right. Th...

The only two games I can think of that have the copy protection removed officially are the CD versions of Space Quest IV and... This one has multiple copy protections. They are (by order of appearance - but correct me if I left anything out): The requested code when entering a timepod for the first...

Re: Datafiles for King's Quest VII
Just for those of you who are also interested in having only the datafiles of the games: The datafiles for my King's Quest VII (Windows only release / german) are: This is just wrong. Please don't list such things just by playing around a bit. At least the patch files are definitely also required, ...

Re: PC98 SCI Games
Do you know if the game contains 2 sets of picture resources? The reason I want to use 8 colors is strictly educational. As a collector of Sierra games I'm interested in all the various rare formats that were available. I am able to see the 8-colors version with a PC98 emulator, so ScummVM support ...

And the open source repository mentioned above actually contains only the exploit (no payload), so in theory it's not even useful on its own for piracy but *only* for homebrew. I think almost any website that reported about this had a patch included for enabling piracy. The exploit wasn't found by ...

Re: Leisure Suit Larry 2
I saw in the compatibility list that there are an old and a new version of this game. Can anyone tell me what the differences are? I can't find any reference to this online except for a fan made point and click version. It's the same game. But there was one version with an sci0early interpreter and...
