Let's not exaggerate. The speed I refer to is not REALLY teleportation. It's just really quick, but not instant. My reason for wanting a throttle adjustability function is because many games contain large locations that require long and tedious walks from place to place. So either you add an ability...

Speed in SCI games
How come that when the walking speed is set to maximum inside any SCI game, the character - while indeed walking faster - doesn't walk nearly as fast as it has back in the old days? If I remember correctly, when the speed was at maximum, the character would cross the room in almost a flash, but in S...

Future plans
Hi. Congratulations to all of you behind SCUMMVM for your latest fantastic release, supporting SCI games. I was more than incredibly happy when I heard the news and downloaded my copy. However, I'm dying to know what's coming next. Is there an estimated release date for a version supporting SCI 2 an...

Also Freddy Pharkas and Police Quest 4 suffer from this. I think also the later SCI game KQ7 suffered from this, but I'm not sure. For some strange reason, LSL7 didn't suffer from this, despite it being a late SCI game. Why the hell haven't they set a uniformity standard for this back in the day? It...

Fascinating. Really. Well, I hope it will happen eventually. Don't forget only a few of Sierra's games had made that mistake (GK, for example, had text and voice enabled, thank God). On the other hand, some later SCI games had no subs at all, like GK2 and Phantasmagoria, though GK2 has fan made subs...

Oh, well... I've waited six years. I can wait a few more. As long as it's on the menu and not forgotten. ScummVM is almost like magic to me. Even the games which are most compatible with DosBox look so much better in ScummVM I find it incredible. I've always admired this project back in the days it ...
