Does the SegaCD version of the game use the same engine as the DOS version?

HFVExplorer seems to work great for newer Sierra games that came on the 1.4MB floppies. But Space Quest III comes on the 800KB disks (I think) so doesn't seem to work. Is a true MAC system the only alternative to getting info off the disks?

Hoyle Official Book Of Games Vol 3 also had a CD release. The packaging titled it as Hoyle Classic Board Games but it's really the same game. It appears to be the floppy version put on a CD. Both show as the same version in ScummVM.

The copy of the MAC version I have comes on six 3.5 inch disks. (The DOS version comes on three 3.5 disks). Is the higher resolution content of the MAC version the reason for the additional disks? Is there a way to copy files off the MAC disks without using a MAC? I've still not been able to find an...

When using the OpenGL setting, if I want to make any game that has a native resolution of 320x200 and play it in a window at a resolution of 1280x800 or 1600x1000, (exactly 4x or 5x) how can I make ScummVM remember that setting for each game?

So is it a combination of upscaled and higher resolution images? If so, what elements are actually hires?

Does anybody know if the CD audio tracks are the same for both the DOS CD version and the Sega CD version of Secret of Monkey Island? Are there any differences?
