When Guybrush goes to dig up the treasure on Melee, I seem to remember a digging noise as he moves. I noticed that adlib in scummvm doesn't do this, but I haven't noticed any other missing sounds. Is this the memory cheats?

I saw in the compatibility list that there are an old and a new version of this game. Can anyone tell me what the differences are? I can't find any reference to this online except for a fan made point and click version.
