Re: A merger

Really good news this is happening. Less confusion I'm sure and it'll open up the possibilities to new games in the future :)

Re: Help For A C++ Noob

Just because you (although in this case, clearly not you specifically) could, it doesn't mean you should... :) C++/CLI is a terrible environment with all the worst of managed and unmanaged code provided in a single pot of hell being useful only to interop with "legacy" unmanaged code. That...

Re: Beyond a Steel Sky

Mixed feelings as in a 3D modelled thin veneer of an adventure games on a closed platfom... what could be seen as a problem :/

I'm sure those hoping for a sequel were more thinking along the lines of BS5.

Most cloud storage providers offer some form of folder sync options so I couldn't understand why cloud saves needed to be a feature in ScummVM. My solution has always been to relocate the Save Path folder to a location that is synchronised [by in my case, OneDrive]. I don't know how mobile platforms...

Oddly, I tested this game back in the day and I had (still have) just the single file "Western" in my game folder. However, I now get the same error as reported when running the game. The ScummVM ini file was new so the environment is not comparable to before though my game folders are. [2...

Pretty sure the stipulation about source code allows for provision using clear instructions on how to get it. So, a page in the game menu that is clear on what code has been used and where you can get that code from.

There's a benefit for an operating system [and some games/applications] to be compiled as a 64bit executable just not for ScummVM. It doesn't address anywhere near the 32bit memory limit thus has no need/benefit of it. When/if 32bit support is removed from an operating system then I'm sure there'll ...
