Maybe switch to touchpad mode? It's the mode where you move the mouse cursor by dragging (like a laptop's touchpad)

I'm not sure if this was a conscious decision or not, but in the past the full release versions did not detect games that were typically only detectable with the SVN version. FWIW, ScummVM does (unofficially) support running the "Ultimate Talkie Edition" fan patch of MI1&2 SE.
