Re: What ScummVM is from technical point of view?

Which one would you say the JVM is? (Java Virtual Machine)

Hint: This is where you should look into the difference between a system VM (which you seem to be talking about) and a process VM.

Re: Unable to compile daily build in macOS 10.14

I've had Mojave for a few days now. It compiles no problem but then there's the "black screen" bug from SDL2 (and SDL1 is completely busted) .. had to compile the latest SDL2 "tip" to get it to work. So once you fix the build errors, you're going to run into the black screen unti...

It depends on the game. There is no right answer for this because of varying tastes.

The defaults are pretty good.

Having said that, if you don't mind spending the money, then getting an MT-32 will greatly improve the music of some early SCI games. PQ2 being my favorite test case.

I couldn't hear the difference until I put on earbuds.

I can confirm that the latest (self-compiled) sounds like the ScummVM 2.0 clip that almeath posted.

I think the timestamps file is related to the "cloud" feature. I disable that feature when building (I disable all of libcurl actually)

This doesn't match what I have. Where did you get these files?

What's usually super-helpful is getting access to the original source code (legally of course)

Last I looked QFG didn't change. Someone was saying that maybe it was because QFG4 isn't supported yet (the other 4 are) but that's just guessing I think.

Ah. I understand the issue now. You want ScummVM to not use the desktop resolution (with scaling) and go back to attempting to set the actual resolutions like before.

The whole window handling was rewritten to stop doing that though.
I’m sorry I can’t help you further.

Did you try using ScummVM 2.0? I don’t know if steam is still packaging an older version.

If it works in that, you might be able to just swap exes if you really want to use steam still.
