Freeware in SCUMMVM

From what I've seen in the past, games are generally freewared at the same time that they are officially supported.

Fair Use

As a point of interest, what would be the length of time for a capture that would be considered fair use? Clearly the team believes that single image screen captures fall into that area. Would any length of video such as the OP requested be covered?

Al Lowe doesn't hold the copyrights on his works. So we'd need to wait for Vivdendi and in this case, they might even have some problems with Disney (or Lloyd Alexander for that matter.)

I'm intrigued by the differences in reverse engineering between SCUMMVM and FreeSCI. Any posts anywhere that contrast these differences?

Isn't this just like any another new engine? The developers currently aren't interested, but if someone else wanted to, no problem? Well, it seems Threepwood wants to do it and there doesn't seem to be any reason not to support his effort. As far as FreeSCI, the overall engine's been dead quite some...

This is a very cool. A keyboardless entry system is desperately needed for the PocketPC! Full IIGS support will be great too. Will there be any easy way to extract resources like there is now for Mac disks?

According to the very confusing chat log, it's Paul de Senneville, someone who does not wish to freeware games.

Right, nobody is saying Another World should be in ScummVM. It clearly doesn't match the other games. We're just asking the developers if they've spoken with Eric Chahi about freewaring his other games, particularly Future Wars which seems to be almost complete already within the engine.

Here's the link on Out of this World: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Chahi Furthermore, it appears the guy who freewared the GB version of Out of this World (Eric Chahi) also worked on Future Wars. Perhaps he has the copyright currently?

Any chance these will be freewared? It appears this company, Delphine Software, has freewared games before (some of the flavors of Out of this World?) But they also appear to now be defunct.
