Re: a little problem with the dialogue transcriptions (G.F.)
The subtitles in the movies were added with the 1.01 patch to the original game, I'm not sure whether or not they were ever added for the non-english versions. If I get some time, I'll take a look at my german copy of the game, to see if that has correct subtitles there (that won't necessarily cover...

Re: a little problem with the dialogue transcriptions (G.F.)
You are not supposed to do anything other than put the gfupd101.exe-file in the folder, it should not need to be run.

What license is the source under? Could I suggest adding a LICENSE-file to the repos (see our repos for an example if there's multiple), so it's clearer
to anyone wanting to contribute or reuse what the terms are?

PS2 EMI, just like PC/MAC EMI shares a lot of (non-gfx) code with Grim. Grim has support for datausr.lab files, it would be trivial to do something similar with EMI, however, while textures are trivial (TGA), the models would need conversion tools written (just like the deluxe-project on here did fo...

Re: Issue loading saves on Mac
For future reference: CMD-SHIFT-G in Finder opens a dialogue that allows you to enter a specific path, put ~/Library in there and you'll get the relevant folder.

Re: Problem installing Monkey Island 4
Ah, the Mac CDs, the thing is, local.m4b is installed by the installer (which you'd need access to MacOS 9 to run, or at the very least an installation of OS X < 10.4 with Classic installed). BUT, we have a fix for this, ResidualVM happily reads the file from a .sit file, I _think_ this is "EFM...

Re: Problem installing Monkey Island 4
And finally, it's worth mentioning that EMI is currently not officially supported, but it _IS_ completable (see another thread in this forum for that), with the caveat that you MIGHT have to jump around a bit if the game hangs, and that a few things look weird still. Also, we still allow for breakin...

Re: Problem installing Monkey Island 4
Since you didn't mention the version of ResidualVM you tried to use, I must mention that EMI is not supported in the stable release (0.1.1), you need a nightly build for that.

We do accept bug reports for EMI at this point, so if you have any outstanding that we lack in our tracker, then feel free to add them. As for the PS2 version, I know of two things that don't work there right now, music (we know how to play the music files, we just lack a mapping from the game scrip...

Re: Double Fine is making Grim Fandango Remastered!
Well, MI:SE was a bit weird for me, the new artwork did change the "feel" of i.e. Mel├®e Island for me (for instance the Scumm Bar suddenly wasn't as dark a place, with the added moonlight and such outside. But all of that was just a bit of nostalgia I guess. The only REAL problem with it,...

Re: Mouse interface for Grim Fandango (Fan made mod)
Well, this depends on the residualvm dev team. I'd be willing to re-organize my codebase and put it through a review for inclusion into the main branch, but that'd really depend on whether they want the mouse mod as an option in residualvm. Now, I can only speak for myself, but I think we can atlea...

It is not a PS4/Vita-exclusive, more platforms are coming, according to @timoflegend.

Hmm, according to a few tests I did, Rosemary doesn't seem to use Arial at all, just the two fonts that it comes bundled with (cambria and framd, albeit not the ones placed in fonts/). The second interesting tidbit, is that none of the texts in the images you showed seem to ask for a bold font. (Thi...
