Nope, no matter where I put the Arial font file, the text in Scummvm still looks like in the screenshot above. It seems to be using a bold Arial, unlike the original interpreter. And a regular-weight Cambria in the photo album, where the original uses a bold variant. Coincidence or a mix-up in the ...

To use the same arial.ttf as the original interpreter, you need to copy arial.ttf from your fonts-folder (/Library/Fonts on OS X, Something like C:\Windows\Fonts on windows) to the folder that has the gamedata.

This is because ScummVM searches for fonts in the gamedata-folder FIRST.

lillemask: What font did you play with in ScummVM? An exact side-by-side comparison would only be possible if you used the exact fonts that the original game used (presumably you'd also need a copy of Arial.ttf, as the replacement we use in ScummVM is not exactly equal). The movies in ScummVM are cu...

The OS X builds were built without Theora and TTF-support, this is being worked on getting fixed. I'll report back when the problem is resolved.

Re: Call for help: need MD5 game data hashes

What I meant was, you're not meant to apply the patch at all, you're meant to just put the gfupd101.exe-file in the gamedata directory. ResidualVM will read the relevant data from that file. (This is done so intentionally, to allow ResidualVM to be reasonably sure that it's getting the updated versi...

You are not supposed to apply the patch and delete the exe afterwards, you are supposed to keep the exe-file in the data-directory.

Toggling between fullscreen and windowed (or software and hardware graphics) is simply implemented as: 1: Save game. 2: Restart the game with the new graphics-state. 3: Load the savegame created in 1. From a user-perspective this should be completely transparent, but it explains why you'd see savega...

As a side note, you probably don't need all the possible libraries: * libPNG isn't used in Grim Fandango afaik. * Nor is JPEG (it _IS_ used in Myst 3 though) * OGG/FLAC isn't used in Grim Fandango * I _think_ libmad isn't used in GrimE, unless you want to play EFMI. It is however critical that you h...

First of all, this does indeed look cool. I always thought the scenes would make this impossible (i.e. not everything is easily clickable), so if you've solved that... well done. Like YakBizarro, I can't say anything about the script patcher (IANAL either). As he says, the ResidualVM-changes are ok,...

Feel free to post the Theora-bug.

Thanks for the Dirty Split-bugs, I have added detection-entries for the french/spanish/czech/italian-versions now, and a possible fix was found for the "ghosting"-issues you posted about.

There exists some wip-code for that, but I haven't looked any further into it, mainly since I wanted to wait untill the Android port works completely, but also for lack of time and interest.

The easiest way to get going, is probably to join our IRC-channel, #residualvm @ freenode. Other than that, playing through the game and isolating the issues you spot is usually quite usefull. At the moment, it's possible to play all the way to Monkey Island, with a known outstanding issue there bei...
