Re:
Did anyone manage to grab a set of the Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse posters that Telltale used to sell? I would love it if someone could do a scan of those... After having bought the Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse posters from Laserschwert I've finally found a fellow local adventure g...

Besides using the game's installer to extract the data of the damaged disk, have you tried opening the archive with 7zip? With some luck, the installer just uses some DEFLATE algorithm supprted by 7zip... Sadly 7zip doesn't recognize the files as valid archives. I figure the .RNC file extention pro...

I'm afraid this is against the rules. Have you tried playing your copy to the end? I'm sorry that I broke the rules. Sadly I can't get to the point of even attempting to play my copy . As I mentioned the floppy has some damaged sectors (incredibly it was the only damaged floppy in the set, even tho...

This request reminds me of Zawinski's law of software envelopment (or software bloating if you will) which states that: Every program attempts to expand until it can read mail. Those programs which cannot so expand are replaced by ones which can. Adding word processing features into ScummVM seems li...

Steam games
I know the ScummVM team have purposely decided not to make the steam SCUMM games runnable with ScummVM. This, I believe, was done to not anger LucasArts unnecessarily. LucasArts is dead and gone though. Having been purchased by Disney (which seems mostly interested in using the Star Wars IP so far),...

Upscaling Retro 8-Bit Pixel Art To Vector Graphics
Just saw on Slashdot that "Two researchers — Johannes Kopf from Microsoft, and Dani Lischinski from The Hebrew University — have successfully created an algorithm that depixelizes and upscales low-resolution 8-bit 'pixel art' into lush vector graphics." Details can be found here and here ....
