Playing King's Quest 1-4
I got the games to copy over fine, and the games play. However, I am having a serious issue getting the games to be playable. In order to play the games, you need to be able to type words quickly and easily. When I go to type something, a stupid little old style cell phone keyboard pops up (one in w...

Can't find games
Okay, I got ScummVM to install on my iPad. I followed the directions for copying files through iTunes. However, when I tried opening the folders I sent, it says that it can't find any games in the directory. It has been so long since I installed games on ScummVM on my Mac that I can't remember how t...

Re: Confused about installation
The last error appears more serious because it has a stop sign with an exclamation mark in it: Lexical or Preprocessor Issue 'Curl/curl.h' file not found boxtokenrefresher.cpp Right. That is the issue. The others are only warnings. I am assuming you are following the instructions where it says to u...

Confused about installation
I recently got an iPad, and I tried following the instructions for non-jail broken devices. The version of XCode that I downloaded must be a little different than on the description in the instructions. I downloaded it yesterday from the App Store. I recently upgraded the operating system on my comp...

Oops sorry, I meant floppy drive. Brain damage moment. I guess my brain and fingers aren't used to using the words floppy and drive together anymore. Yeah...but even if the Mac did have a floppy disk drive, I doubt my computer would be able to read an Apple IIGS disk. I understand that older Macs c...

It was a lot easier to use IIgs disk images on the old Macs before they got rid of the build in hard drives. The IIgs disks could still get recognized with the proper software. External disk drives don't work though. Huh? My computer has a built in hard drive -- I'm confused. I think the issue is t...

Oh, a friend recommended that I make a post about how I did get this working so that anyone else who needs help with the IIGS stuff can find it in this thread. I have a Mac, running Snow Leopard. I also have VMWare Fusion, and I have XP installed on that. I copied all my disks from my real Apple IIG...

I saw your post on Sierra Help, too. I recommend using KEGS or Sweet16 for IIgs games. Last I checked, ScummVM didn't support sound for IIgs games. I replied to your Sierra Help thread, too. If you're having trouble with disk images, I can direct you to some that should work. If you need any help r...

I also need to state that the King's Quest games have more than one disk. I saw the post about multiple disks, but they seem to be talking more about CDs than disks. I assume the situation would be similar, but I just wanted to check. Thank you. With ScummVM you act the same with disks as with CDs....

Apple IIGS disk images
I have some disk images that I use with Apple IIGS emulators. I noticed that ScummVM is supposed to support the Apple IIGS games, and I've found the list of files that are needed. I figured it couldn't hurt to include all the files in a game file. The problem is that these files are in a format that...
