Re: You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike

Yeah, I understand the issue. Any solution would require a complete rethinking of the ScummVM backend: allow custom backends for engines? Reimplement the entire backend? Anything would mean a lot of work. If you ask me, this could be the opportunity to update the whole thing. Keep software and OpenG...

Re: You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike

Right, I was able to compile the command line build but the fonts.dat file was missing. And then the AGT interpreter threw a compile error on Xcode. But I was able to test the daily build now, thanks! There's a pretty big issue with text-based games, though, and I'm curious to hear about your plans ...

Re: You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike

Oh, I see. Compilation errors on macOS.

I'll go cry in a corner now.

Re: You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike

Ah, guess it's possible macOS isn't supported yet. I'll try compiling this on my own.

Re: You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike

Erm... so I tried loading .zblorbs, .z4s and regular DATs to no avail. I can't seem to detect any Z-code game. Am I missing something? Has this been documented yet?

Re: Any update on shaders?

I think the braindx branch needs more polish and work to be merged with the main one. It's not clear how to enable the option as it depends on OpenGL right now. It can only be toggled while in fullscreen, there's no support for different shaders, and the effect is very poor with hi-res games. Plus, ...

Re: Game breaking bug in KQ1 SCI

OK... this is extremely weird. I tested again from an earlier save and acquired some missing points (exiting the dragon's cave from the inside). Went back to the leprechauns, played the violin, and... voilá. The sequence worked. Only major difference was that I had 135 points instead of 133. I'm baf...

Re: Game breaking bug in KQ1 SCI

Same issue on Windows, 2.1.2 with default settings. I'll attach the save in case anyone wants to give it a try. Just opening the door and typing "play fiddle" will crash the game.

Re: Game breaking bug in KQ1 SCI

I'm testing this with 2.1.2 on iPad and 2.2.0 (git) on macOS Catalina.

Didn't occur to me that it could be a timing issue, but I've just set the animation to normal speed and same result.

Game breaking bug in KQ1 SCI

Hi all, This is such a nasty bug that I'm wondering whether there's something wrong with my copy or I'm missing something myself. When you meet the leprechauns, you can either rely on the four-leaf clover to avoid them or play a violin to make them dance and get some extra points. When I play the vi...

Re: Art thou worthy to be the Avatar?

Bummer, none of the official Ultima Collection versions seem to be supported variants. I'll report the info to the tracker, but I'm sure this is a fairly widespread collection.

Re: Any update on shaders?

As you can see, neither look particularly good for a hi res game like Curse of Monkey Island. I get a patchwork shadow mask effect and not much else. Again, this is how it looks in 5k and it might be more tolerable on a lower resolution display. If I come across some shaders that are good for hi re...
