Game Not Being Detected
I’m trying to add Might And Magic: Book One - Secret Of The Inner Sanctum to ScummVM but it’s not getting detected. I’ve checked the wiki and it just says I need to have all the files of three different types which do appear to be present. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Does anyone have any ideas?

Re: Is Myst ME the best 2D Myst?
I have 3 versions of original Windows Myst (1.0.1, 1.0.2 from 1994 and 1.3 from 1996) I have seen some YT video that first PC version was lacking in animation and sounds compared to the Mac original. Is Masterpiece Edition the best (not counting higher color) or are there still some errors? To my k...

Re: Beneath A Steel Sky Intro Not Playing
I think it has something to do with using the Libretro port. The game plays fine when I use the regular version of ScummVM. If you have any ideas on how to get it working? No, I don't have any ideas at all. I don't even remember if I've ever heard of Libretro before. https://github.com/libretro/scu...

Re: Beneath A Steel Sky Intro Not Playing
I can't reproduce the problem under Linux, using the development version of ScummVM, running the game in windowed mode. But I don't know how that setup compares to what you're running... Beneath A Steel Sky Intro Not Playing
I'm trying to run Beneath A Steel Sky and I'll get audio but no visuals during the intro. I've tried both floppy versions and the C.D. version. I've tried the version available on this site as well as the one on Good Old Games. Any ideas how to get it to work?

I didn't mean to offend- the situation is just frustrating. I'm glad the issue is being looked into, that's all I wanted to hear. Thanks for your help.clone2727 wrote:Perhaps you misunderstand. This all comes back to me. I'm the developer.
There will be a fix eventually, hopefully. For now, there is none.

Re: The Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime Sound Distortion
Yeah, it's the Theora code then. You can work around this by copying the "PP Data" folder to your hard drive in a directory along with the main EXE. Then, rename all the ".ogg" files (easy to prefix then with an underscore or something). The code will use the QuickTime videos in...

Re: The Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime Sound Distortion
Well, my point is this: Does it work past the initial introduction? If it doesn't, the issue is really with SDL or your driver, unfortunately. I just installed it and played around a bit in the apartment at the beginning of the game. Interestingly, the smaller videos that play in the user interface...

Hence my intense desire not to have audio problems. Thanks again- hopefully together you folks can sort this out.clone2727 wrote:The entire game is made of movies, so saying it's restricted to that is not much

Re: The Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime Sound Distortion
If the issue only happens during the intro (not say, once you wake up in the apartment), then it could possibly just be the Theora code being slow. The developers do offer support, but not through this channel. Please use the GOG forums, they are being monitored (by at least one of us). I am aware ...

Re: The Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime Sound Distortion
(I don't run ScummVM under Windows myself, and I haven't had the time to try this game, so chalk this reply up to general curiosity.) I noticed in the GOG forum thread that at least for one user it only happens during fullscreen cutscenes, not during the rest of the game. Is that the case for you a...

The Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime Sound Distortion (GOG)
I bought The Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime on Good Old Games awhile ago and have had an issue with the sound being very crackly/distorted. Good Old Games support couldn't find a solution and the developers of the game don't offer tech support to my knowledge. They do however claim this is a Wind...

The UTE patch comes (or maybe used to come) with a modified version of ScummVM for Windows. Follow the UTE instructions and when you get to the part about using the included version of ScummVM, use a daily build instead. When ScummVM 1.5 is released, you can use 1.5 instead of the daily build So, r...
