Alright, I now have way more information I came for! Thanks! I'm still looking for the most "realistic" Mac experience that I remember, so I might just try it for myself. I've seen Mac cursors are loaded for HE games (maybe it's just one game, I found it in the sources). This seems the eas...

I've just setup Loom Mac in SheepShaver, and compared to ScummVM, the colour palette is brighter? I'm running in OS X.

In ScummVM:

In the emulator:

Comparing the B&W version in Mini vMac and the Mac 16 colours in ScummVM, it seems to me that the dithering happening there is somehow smart, maybe something like that SCI trick with two colours in the same CLUT entry? It looks "high resolution", or at least not based in the colour of ...

Loom in 16 undithered colours or B&W?

I own Loom in the Steam (256 colours) and also the Mac version, which I initially played in B/W (SE/30) and later in 16 colours. Since the B&W and 16 colours version are hardcoded in my memories, I have two questions: - in 16 colours (Loom Mac version) would it be possible to use undithering out...

Sorry for coming back on this. I noticed a typo in the requirements, SYSTEM.FMT should be SYSTEM.FNT.[/quote]

Hi all, I believe there is a mistake in the wiki Datafiles list for Cruise for a Corpse; the file DELPHINE.LNG should be there as well, as I can see from the code (I'm using the svn version). In the cruise engine cruise.cpp file (in loadLanguageStrings): if (!f.open("DELPHINE.LNG")) return...

follow these instructions: 1. copy these files to a folder in your harddisk (taken from the game data files in the scummvm documentation section in the main site, http://www.scummvm.org/documentation.php?view=datafiles ): *.clu *.inf *.tab credits.bmp rename music.clu on cd1 to music1.clu rename mus...

there was a discussion on the "exact" required files for broken sword 2, both the normal and the "alt" version. (i say exact because the manual talk about some small files which aren't required). pay attention to the directory structure (some of us flatten the contents of the clu...

eriktorbjorn, i've finally had a look at the stable source code (i had been postponning it since, what, version 0.4 or so). in the beggining of file sword2/sword2.cpp there is, simplified: static const Sword2GameSettings sword2_settings[] = { /* Broken Sword 2 */ {"sword2", "Broken Sw...

removing the r2ctlns.ocx file causes scummvm detection to fail, it says it couldn't find any game in the specified directory. with it, or a 0-byte file in its place, it works. when playing the file is not necessary... it's strange why detection is based in this file. the game is detected as "Br...

alternate version

i run the game with the same software versions you have: macosx (10.3.9) and scummvm 0.8.2 (stable). however, you seem not to have the same broken sword 2 version (mine is from "soldout software", scummvm recognizes as sword2alt) because i need a file all of you didn't mention. here is my ...
