DOSBox has got PNG support so maybe you could check its source for that feature.

I don't know what you read back then but right now (since 0.74)(2 years) dosbox has a very user friendly manual (I rewrote it to make sure everybody understands).

Even 1THz won't help you if you don't bother reading manual...

all protected mode games automatically switch to max cycles, so people got used to it and don't know about manual adjustment needed for non protected mode games.

I forgot that I was trying 1.4 first that didn't work at all, so i read the manual that i should use folder - and i remembered that as a solution somehow

The most important source of errors is entering a folder when adding games. That is a bug of scummvm, as you shouldn't be able to press the "choose" button when no folder is selected.
Actually you shouldn't even be able to enter folders that doesn't contain subfolders

I have found some bugs in the Soltys game in Scummvm. Whom should I contact? Also I would like to make corrections to translation.

By the way I don't find any illogical puzzles in this game.

So I guess they just did

you can install windows in dosbox and choose fm in midi mapper.
or if you have any old pc with isa slots you can place any opl card install its windows drivers and do the same.

I have already translated "Pył" and "Kajko i Kokosz" and would like to try this game too.

I have already translated "Kajko i Kokosz" to English (including pictures and voices) seven years ago. So all the work is already done.
