Does this occur if you start from a clean New Game with no savegames present? If so, then please file a bug at bugs.scummvm.org including where you got the game from (GOG?) and Operating System etc.

Onfy: I did the latest build so that GC users had something newer than v1.5.0 and with a bit of fiddling i.e. reduce number of plugins and manually setup various paths in ScummVM launcher, I was able to start a few games fine. Also, check your Audio settings on the 32-bit MX machine in ScummVM: https://docs.scummvm.org/en/v2.7.0/settings/audio.html Ensure that Speech is enabled (not just subtitles) and that the Speech volume is not set to zero. Not sure if you have installed ScummVM 2.7.0 from a prebuilt binary from our download page or from the Ubuntu / MX-Linux repositories? In either case, try running from the command line i.e. "scummvm -d 10" to get debug output and see if there is any clear difference when you start The Dig ...

The Companion NPC is called Ratpouch. I don't think there is any way currently of listing which rooms each NPC is in, but I think Ratpouch should always be with the player character. The Startrek engine is still incomplete, but there is no code as far as I can see which uses the missionPoints to adjust difficulty in the code state. See:

Replicated this. @zosite: You can report as a bug if you wish at bugs.scummvm.org The actual error is "The procedure entry point GetTickCount64 could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll" That API was added in Vista, so should not be used in WinXP code: https://learn.mic...
