Fix for glitchy/popping/skipping audio

I've spent a while trying to figure out how to stop skipping, popping, glitchy sounds with scummvm and I think this combination should help most occurances: Turn on VSync (if you have a monitor with GSync or FreeSync it should allow vsync to be turned on without the laggy mouse feel) Add audio_buffe...

Re: DOTT Remaster and Full Throttle Remaster Ultimate Talkies?

DOTT still works great on 2.7.1 but FT seems to be broken for most speech on any ScummVM higher than 2.5.1 unfortunately.

Re: Monkey 1 Ultimate Talkie Edition (released)

Is there any way to play ultimate talkie with the original sound effects, rather than the new sound effects taken from the remaster? In particular, the Indy theme plays when you open the antiroot crate, whereas the original played a brass fanfare sample. Also, things like the classic 90's-era door ...

Thanks, I managed to get it okay for DOTT by increasing it by 300% (around 250 instead of 60) but Maniac Mansion cutscenes are way too fast and I can't seem to get it to actually go slower.

Subtitle speed too slow on 2.7+

Switching between 2.6 and 2.7 the subtitle speed for DOTT is much too slow when at default 60, there's a long wait between the speech finishing and the next line being shown.

Re: Monkey 1 Ultimate Talkie Edition (released)

Is it possible to put the original sound fx from the original cd version of MI1 in the ultimate talkie? I always love the sounds fx as they originally sounded, and I'm not keen on the new sound fx! Still not sure if it's possible to use original sound fx from the original VGA verison of TSOMI with ...

Re: Sound skips frequently on 2.5.0

It still skips, is there any way of changing the audio buffer that would work? Considering it's been about a year since the thread was last active and the issue was reported, do you mean that the issue still persists on a daily development build (2.7.0git) or 2.6.1 (please specify what version you'...

Sound skips frequently on 2.5.0

I've had rarely any audio skips using ScummVM versions right up through 2.1.0, but updated to 2.5.0 for the FM Townes aspect ratio correction. The sound frequently skips at regular intervals, I've tried adding output_rate=44100 and audio_buffer_size=16384 to my config and it hasn't helped much (besi...

If it runs on the same engine as Duckman and Duckman works, how much more work would it be for Do U to be added? It's currently a pain to play via VM.

Re: Aspect Ratio Correction on FM Towns Games

I did read through the last comments on this very thread, I didn't encounter any issues that seemed to be exclusive to this version. Good to know it's just delayed. Raziel is right...
