Obsidian for Intel Mac

The video game "Obsidian" written for the PowerPC Macintosh needs to be supported on the Intel Mac. I understand that there was a Windows version of this game, but I have the original PPC Mac version. I also have Intel "Macs" (2013 MacBook Air, 4th-gen, 6th-gen, 8th-gen and 9th-g...

Bug in "The Dig" (Mac version)?

Using ScummVM v 2.1 and playing The Dig. All went well until I used the wire from the wreck to connect from the "sparks" to the door control panel. Commander Lowe makes the wire connections, but the wire disappears (and is no longer in my inventory), and the door does not open. The other d...

Yes, but you didn't extract as MacBinary or AppleDouble so the sizes will be different
True. I pulled the files from each CD-ROM as-is.

Can anyone tell me what the final size of the extracted and combined PP Data folders should be?
I also have 2.11 GB (2,269,077,939 Bytes). PP works fine under ScummVM v1.6.0git dated March 15, 2013, on my PPC PowerMac G5, Mac OS X 10.4.11.

I guess "drawing the next card" is to me a transition... sorry if I don't know the jargon. Anyway, Riven works fine for me now that I have the Save filename format correct. Thanks for the Wiki link... I missed that. I also tried to find both Riven and Myst Masterpiece in your "Compati...

Yep, that was it. The Save Game filename cannot have a forward slash. Don't get it, but now Save works fine. I haven't seen any graphical glitches or heard (on my Bose computer speakers) any problems at all with the sounds, but have no idea what "hardcoded bits" are. Transitions are fine, ...

"Definitely not flawlessly?" It is as good as running Riven under Classic, except I don't have to open Classic at all! Here is an excerpt from the Console log after attempting a "Save" in Riven under ScummVM, and being kicked back to the Finder: ---------------------------- Conso...

"Save" Function on Riven

I was adequately warned by your error message that Riven is a work in progress. I just wanted to let you know how Riven runs under ScummVM on my PPC PowerMac 2.7 GHz dual-cpu G5 (early 2005 model) under Mac OS X 10.4.11. First, FYI my Riven game runs perfectly under Classic, and "Save" wor...

Thanks for all your help! Don't know how to "merge" the 3 CD-ROMs onto a single disc (DVD, I presume) but will go with what we have. Sorry about subject hijacking... but there is no forum I can find on the subject of "Buried in Time." Since my last post, we did find a patch v1.1 ...

Yes. In Interface Biochip mode, the Menu provides a SAVE function. The problem was that an error message comes up that says the typed-in name of file is "invalid." Wife discovered that the only format apparently acceptable is "MAY1", must be date with all caps, no further text. R...

Finally made it through the final bomb puzzle with the help of the online walkthrough video (9 of 9), my printer, and my wife calling the directions to move in the circuit mazes. Thought I would never get there! OK, now would like to play "Journeyman Project 2: Buried in Time." We have the...

How to donate to ScummVM?

Still struggling with PP's last puzzle... I'm just not fast enough. Wanted to send a PayPal donation, was referred to the ScummVM website, but when I attempt to access it, I get this message: Smarty compile dir (include/smarty/template_c) isn't writeable! So I cannot get to your home page! Can you h...

Finally managed to get through Mars including getting the "card bomb" in the reactor room. My problem was not seeing that the cursor changed function on the panel when lowered over the "Extend platform" text on the panel. I'm used to my cursor 'blinking' when moved between active...

Mars was the last time/location I "completed" before being zipped back to Caldoria. I haven't yet attempted to return. I could replay the last Mars sequence (I have a saved game at its beginning), but don't know how to find the lock in the Reactor Room. I don't think I can return to Mars f...
