You have to select HQ2X also for broken sword by editing the game properties in scummvm.
Games that have resolutions higher than 320x240 do not use the filter defined in the global options.
I may be wrong, I can't test it now.

Besides, instead of switching to digital track with use of special driver you could consider "autosensing" presence of the files in game directory. We do that in several other engines which support digital standalone tracks. Perhaps it would be a good idea to add an option in the sound op...

Anyway, speech works only in the cut-scene in the beginning. (I know this sounds as if it were the non-talike version, but in DosBox speech worked just fine.
