By request, here're the files...
I hope I didn't forget any :D

But don't come running to me telling that it sucks, I wouldn't have released this normally. As I said, all I did was making it compile again.

Not really. It compiles and runs, but ComI crashes for unknown reasons. I didn't do any real tests either, just tried to start a couple of games...
Also I didn't get around to implementing anything new in the backend.

In order to use CDs or DVDs you definately _DO_ need a modchip. Not only for booting ScummVM but also for loading game data. If you don't have a modchip and boot scummvm off usb or hdd, it still _WON'T_ be able to read game data from any disc, as the ps2 hardware will still detect them as non-sony d...

Ok then, just to confirm as i am running out of discs!! I need the scummVM elf on its own, then the game directory ie: Sword1. This is it?? I tried running a game off USB but Scumm could not detect it, do i need the elf on my USB key too? Thank you :) Not exactly. If you want to make a cd/dvd that ...

I can't really comment on running ScummVM from a particular device, as has nothing to do with ScummVM itself. You just need an appropriate tool like uLaunchElf that can boot it. Yes, ScummVM can run games from USB devices. I wouldn't worry about the .ini at all. ScummVM creates one automatically and...

Does ScummVM boot correctly and shows the GUI? If so, you basically proceed like you would on PC. Click "Add Game", navigate to the corresponding directory; start the game. By default, the .ini gets created automatically and is stored on the memory card. Storing it on the CD is just an add...

Errorcode -19 means that the device (mass0) was not found. I'm not sure what to make of this, as I haven't ever seen or used SwapMagic.
Maybe it resets parts of the console before executing a given ELF file, thereby making it impossible for the application to access the corresponding device...

I'm sorry about the delay, but I'm way too busy with real life things like uni and work to do the necessary coding.
I suppose I'll have time to get back to work on scummvm when the holidays start in ~3 weeks.

AFAIK the original behaves exactly the same. It would be quite easy to fix, but I decided not to. The game draws 12 real frames per second. If it's currently scrolling, it'll show each frame twice on the screen (moved by 1-2 pixels) to make scrolling smoother. So if we were going to change the subti...

Do you boot the discs directly from the PS2 bios or are you using some 3rd party boot tool?

Yes.
I have a Logitech MX 500, which _doesn't_ work with the PS2 for some reason. But normally, they should all work fine.

Which files do you mean?
If you're worrying about that SYSTEM.CNF, you can just use one from an older release. It won't ever change.

I never got cd/dvd creation with Nero to work though :)

ScummVM always saves the savegames and configuration on the Memorycard in port 1. Other devices are unsupported for now (and it may actually stay like that)... The savegames get compressed using UCL N2E and are incompatible with the other ScummVM ports (well, they would work if someone wrote a decom...
