Re: Developpers, do you plan to...
Apparently one of the plans for SDL 3 is some kind of 3D rendering API. I wonder if that will be of any use to ScummVM: https://discourse.libsdl.org/t/future-3d-api/33485 There was also mention of it in a recent AMA: https://www.reddit.com/r/gamedev/comments/1bro6ni/we_are_the_developers_of_sdl_ask...

Re:
Not all OSes. Windows/Linux and Android is much less multiplatform than the plain OpenGL. We are not using any fancy features, no 3D. So why should we support yet-another-3D-graphics-API? What are the advantages? Vulkan should be seen as a replacement for OpenGL. Not a drop in replacement, but stil...

This really has been a long time coming. When I first came across GOG (or as it was known then, Good Old Games), the first games I looked for were LucasArts' properties. How happy I feel now, knowing that search will actually produce results. I think GOG almost got that deal in 2012, but Disney bou...

GOG will add Disney / LucasArts games in less than 2 days!
See the countdown on their front page: https://www.gog.com There were several hints that it's indeed LucasArts. Here are a few: http://www.gamespot.com/articles/gog-celebrates-six-years-of-advancing-the-drm-free/1100-6422150/ A: I have a pretty substantial deal in my inbox right now, which I need to...

ScummVM 1.7.0 / Android how to switch to grid view in saves?
In the Android version, when trying to load some game, they are listed in "list view" by default. ScummVM shows two little buttons L and G in the lower left corner for List and Grid. But clicking G with the cursor doesn't do anything. Is it switchable to the grid view?

For those of us who don't use Steam, that would be a breakthrough. eBay? Amazon? It's not Steam or the highway... E-bay and Amazon are workarounds, but quite bad ones. Especially considering that prices on such games are high there since they are sold as collector's items. For now that can work for...

I don't think you should worry about stable, it's not commonly found in desktop use cases. Aiming for Debian testing (+ Unstable) is more to the point. Most often if someone wants newer packages on Debian stable they can get them from backports, but more commonly stable is just used in server instal...

Another question. Do sprites in Neverhood when run in ScummVM look a bit rough and pixelated on the edges? I remember when it's run through Wine they looked more smooth. Other than a small difference in colour (that I can only make out if I flip between the image, not by watching them side by side)...

Another question. Do sprites in Neverhood when run in ScummVM look a bit rough and pixelated on the edges? I remember when it's run through Wine they looked more smooth. I can't make a comparable screenshot now, since recent kernels broke Neverhood in Wine , but from the memory in ScummVM it looks s...

Thanks for clarifying, for now manually placing neverhood.dat in the ScummVM directory works. By the way, why do daily builds of ScummVM for Debian use libpng15? ScummVM seem to be configurable with libpng12 at the build time too, and Debian only ships libpng12. Would it make more sense to use libpn...

For daily builds it should really be just bundled in the archive and you'll need to point the extrapath at the place where you extracted those. So, if ScummVM does not find the file by default, something with your ScummVM build is fishy. I downloaded the daily build from here . The contents of the ...
