The Bard's Tale Construction Set

I'm just playing The Bard's Tale Trilogy remastered. That's how the game should always have been!!! Especially the auto-mapper. Does anyone know which notable games have been built on Bard's Tale engine? I think Bard's Tale 1-3, Wasteland and Dragon Wars are the most famous ones. But are there other...

Re: Thousands of games needing testing

Hi,

does anyone know a way to extract the self extracting exe files from ags games within Linux without using wine? I tried different tools, but none matched. (And please don't tell me how to use wine - i know it - but i want to find a better way.)

I tried to start some of the Wintermute games with the daily snapshot. It seems that a file called "wintermute.zip" is missing. Where can I get it?

Tass Times in Tonetown - Amiga version with mouse support and nice graphics, not the ugly dos version which is playable in dosbox

Has anyone looked at it?
Does it share code with Mindeshadow and Borrowed Time?

Tass Times in Tonetown

At least the Amiga version is point and click (in a way), but you can still type the commands.

ICOM Simulations games

Has anyone ever looked at the format for the MacVenture games (Uninvited, DejaVu I&II and Shadowgate)?
Is the format the same for all platforms or did it change?
The look of the game varied quite a lot (especially the dos port was ugly compared to the Mac and the Amiga Versions).

FreeSCI in ScummVM

My question is: if I'm willing (and able) to add FreeSCI (glutton) to ScummVM, would you reject this? (as far as i know gpl i wouldn't even have to ask the freesci members) I know that until now there were a lot of discussion about that, but i can`t remember that somebody wanted to do it (only that ...

Scalers

hi,

as everybody knows, there are different scalers with different abilities - but especially with tft displays it would be nice to select a scaler and a screen resolution, so that scummvm calculates a magnification and aspect ration corresponding to the existing resolution and selected scaler
