On my 3000 at least, 7th Guest is way too slooooww, practically unplayable! I can understand that comment - and it is certainly not worth trying with 0.13.1 or anything less. However, I did have more success with a 0.14.0 svn. In my experience, the speed is very variable. As you can tell, I have on...

One tiny problem with ScummVM on the PSP3000 - you don't get the same maximum brightness level on the screen as on the PSP2000 (5.00 M33-6). This makes it impossible to see the cursor in The 7th Guest most of the time. I completed T7G via ScummVM on my PC quite happily and then transferred my savega...

Yeah, I'm a 'hanger-on' as well. It was just that I had all the latest adventures that ScummVM doesn't yet officially support running smoothly on my PC. The first PSP version of ScummVM that supported 7th Guest was painfully slow and hard to see the cursor - hence my frustration. And it is only Pix2...

Many thanks for your reply. I did eventually find 0.14.0 by myself from the site you suggested but that was after searching the forums. I am glad to say I have this version working. FWIW, my first instinct had been to use the official ScummVM download page, where I found at the bottom what appeared ...

Request For Help I have been running ScummVM 0.13.1 quite happily on various PSPs, notably PSP Slims under 5.00 M33-6 and a PSP Brite under ChickHEN R2. I am tempted by the various messages here about the successful (and faster) running of The 7th Guest, Return to Zork, etc. I have downloaded the SV...

Conroy, The 1.50 works fine, if you do include the two modern.* files in the same folder as the one containing the program EBOOT (i.e. the one without the % in its name). However, there is a problem that I mentioned in my other thread, namely, it is very hard to read the on-screen keyboard - the whi...

As you know, I have got the 1.50 version of 0.9.0 working quite happily. So I thought I would try the single boot version on my other PSP (a 2.60). My experience mirrors the OP's problem. 1. If the two modern.* files are present on the 2.60, the program will not boot at all. 2. If you remove the mod...

Have posted this on the bug tracker as requested. I don't think there is any great hurry to get the 'classic' theme working (as the 'modern' one is intrinsically more artistic) but it should probably be done eventually for completeness. As I said earlier, I am happy enough running the 'modern' theme...

Success! I have put back the two modern files and I can now read the keyboard! Before putting back the modern.zip file, I edited the two files dialog_bkgd.bmp and widget_bgkd.bmp in the zip file using Windows Paint and changed them to grey. Now the white keyboard is pretty much readable. Thanks for ...

Thanks very much for your reply. As requested, I have added this to the feature request list. Thank you also for the suggestion to remove the two modern.* files. This sounds just like what I want. However, at the moment, having deleted them, every time I press the Start button, I get the following e...

0.9.0 - On-screen keyboard problems
I did mention this during the testing period but no-one else seemed to pick up on it. When you try to name a save file and bring up the on-screen keyboard, most of the keyboard layout and the instructions are invisible (white writing on a pale cream background). While it is possible to work out wher...
