Re: Option to copy and run game from memory
No. I didn't try that. I only tried to find a way to stop it from going in to power saving mode. I don't even know how this feature got added to Mednafen but maybe some of the developers also had this issue and wanted to deal with this with copy the game to the memory to run it. There was also a guy...

Re: Option to copy and run game from memory
Trust me. I've tried everything and it's impossible to stop it from going in power save mode. If it was possible someone would've found a fix for it a long time a go because I.m not alone with this issue.

Re: Option to copy and run game from memory
Thank you for this straight answer. I know this shouldn't be needed in every application but this issue has been going on for years and probably many years will follow. We don't even know if it's a Microsoft issue or an Intel one. it might as well be an issue with the Intel controller or driver. Nob...

Re: Option to copy and run game from memory
Not sure what you're trying to prove here. But none of that works. That''s the reason why a developer wrote a small application to write every 30 seconds to the drive to keep it from going in sleep mode. I asked him why not just read from the drive and he told me that's not possible because of Windo...

Re: Option to copy and run game from memory
Disable sleep does only work for HDD. How many devices still use HDD? The only thing that does work is using some kind of application to write to the drive so the drive doesn't go in to sleep mode. To give you an example. Try to play Beneath a steel sky (talkie version) from a USB drive or MicroSD c...

Option to copy and run game from memory
What about an option to copy the game content to the memory to run it? This what Mednafen has added to fix read speed issues. Windows ( and maybe other OS) has the habbit to put the disks in sleep mode for power saving. The only way to work around this is to copy the game content to the memory to ru...

Re: Glitchy Audio
I'm wondering what kind of device you''re uisng to run ScummVM? There's three devices that I'm uisng to run ScummVM and one of them does also has lots of sound glitches when running ScummVM. The one that does run ScummVM with sound glitches is a GPD Win with an Intel Atom® x7-Z8750 Processor. That p...

Re: ScummVM “Interactive Fantasy” 2.2.0 Sees the Light
There's more than enough other games to keep me busy while waiting for this to be fixed. I'm currently on a Space Quest ... uhm ... quest. :D Playing every Space Quest game. Started with all official games and now still busy with every fan made game. After that I also plan to play Space Quest 1 and ...

Re: ScummVM “Interactive Fantasy” 2.2.0 Sees the Light
Thanks to everyone that helped making this new ScummVM release possible. This version seems to run much smoother on Windows 10. :) I'm glad we could fix a nasty old original bug in Space Quest 6: Roger Wilco in The Spinal Frontier for this new stable release. I'm sorry I couldn't finish the testing ...

Re: Indiana Jones and The Fate of Atlantis - Speech voice
Thanks for explaining. It does look like GOG doesn't reencode them so there should be a MONSTER.SOU file.
I think the easiest way to fix this is just use the data files needed (ATLANTIS.000, ATLANTIS.001 and MONSTER.SOU) for this game to run with ScummVM and use the latest build.

Re: Indiana Jones and The Fate of Atlantis - Speech voice
There shouldn't be a MONSTER.SOU file. There should be a MONSTER.SOF file.
If there's a MONSTER.SOU file it should be renamed to MONSTER.SOF to get speech to work. That's how I got speech to work with all SCUMM games that have speech.

Re: Support for Space Quest Incinerations possible?
I do understand that a working AGS engine would be needed for ScummVM to run this game. That doesn't seem to be any time soon.

Support for Space Quest Incinerations possible?
No matter if you're a Space Quest fan or not Space Quest Incinerations is a hidden gem. The story, the puzzles, cutscenes and music are great. It's one of the best adventure games I played. This is one of those games that just needs to be preserved. So... My question is if it's possible to have Scum...

Re: Please help us with testing upcoming ScummVM 2.2.0 release
Where can I find the information about the data files needed to run these games? That would help a lot because I don't like just copying all the content knowing that a lot of files won't be needed to run the game. I can start testing the game Prince and the Coward and looking at all the data files ...
