Actually the problem is with the ARM-assembler optimization. When the lines define_in_config_if_yes yes 'USE_ARM_* in the configure script are commented out, it can be compiled with gcc as well and there is no segfault at runtime. I found the solution on the odroid forum on a topic about residualvm,...

I have the same problem on my banana pi board using Linux armhf. I tried Lubuntu, Debian, Bananian and Fedora with the same results. It seems to be a problem with gcc on armhf. I tried different version of gcc, even cross compling with Linaro toolchain but the problem persists. The solution is to us...

Hi Knakos, first I will like to thank you for the new build. It was a Christmas surprise :-) On my machine the crashes specified on other posts are very frecvent. I am using win 2003 SE on a toshiba e800. I have a lot of free memory, about 80 MB. I tried to build scummvm using cegcc and it did not s...

Hi Knakos, First I want to congratulate you for the 0.X.0. It works very good. I tested it on 2 devices, a PPC (Toshiba e800, VGA) and a smartphone (Samsung SGH-i600). The smartphone has a resolution of 320x240, landscape (like Motorola Q and T-Mobile Dash), and is running Windows Mobile 5.0. ScummV...

Hi Knakos, I am impressed with the performance boost of the latest svn build. I tested it a little bit and now I do not need a special build for Gapi any more (for a VGA PPC). Good work! The only problems that I find where only the keyboard mappings for the GOB engine and for Bargon Attack (there is...

Hi Knakos, another ideea. Have you seen the other cross-development tool, cegcc: http://cegcc.sourceforge.net/ They are providing two different environments mingw32ce and cegcc. From they're documentation: If you want to build an existing Windows CE application that already builds with eVC or MSVC, ...

Actually I have completely reinstalled CygWin on my machine, the last version, and I was able to follow the Wiki instructions step by step. A couple of weeks ago I was forced to play with the version of some tools because I was using a older version of CygWin (1 year old). Mainly, one needs the foll...

Building is not for the faint of heart though - the process is described in the wiki. Hi Knakos, Thank you for the tip :-) I tried to build the gcc for Cygwin following the wiki indications and I failed. Everything is ok until the make steps for both binutils and gcc. At the moment I have no Linux ...

Hi Knakos, I tested your build with my Toshiba e800, Win 2003 SE (VGA). I tried Touche and Ween, Future War and Full Throtle. No problems but I did not played until the end. And I played without music or sounds. Maybe you remember that my problem with your port is that the 1x scaler is to small on m...

Further, using the true 480x640 resolution of your device allows you to experience the goodness of the 640x480 Smile Thank you for your response. I understand that there is a jungle in the PPC hardware world and it is very complicated to find a universal solution. I am very happy with the 640x480 r...

I can only describe this as normal code evolution. The codebase in scummvm is getting increasingly complex with each version, so you can expect such things. First of all I wold like to thank you for your precious work! ScummVM is the best application for a Pocket PC! I know now what is the performa...
