Re: You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike
scummvmglk.png I played around with changing the size of the ScummVM window and font, and it is obvious that ScummVM is still rendering at half resolution compared to the macOS native text display system. ScummVM is to the left in the image. This is with settings (by manually editing the ScummVM Pr...

Re: You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike
[As to your concerns, this is the one outstanding limitation with having them in ScummVM, yes. The window size is fixed, and even if you use the OpenGL renderer which allows the window to be resize, or go fullscreen, the surface size remains the same, and simply gets stretched appropriately. This h...

Re: You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike
@AgustinCordes Did you follow the instructions in the wiki?
It tends to be comparatively painless to compile ScummVM on macOS.

Re: V6 Z-machine games cause assert() crashes
The assert is caused by the .blb file. My GOG version of Zork Zero works fine with latest ScummVM, reading the graphics from the ZORK0.MG1 file I guess, but if I add the blorb file from http://www.ifarchive.org/indexes/if-archiveXinfocomXmediaXblorb.html to the game directory, I get the isValidRect(...

I'm building ScummVM with SDL 2.0.9, and I can definitely hear the issue described above.

Re: King's Quest V - bad sound in scummvm
How would you incorporate this code into ScummVM? Is this something you have to compile? That branch is getting old, but if you download it from the page I linked to, with the green "Clone or download" button, it should still compile using the instructions in the Wiki . EDIT: Fixed link. ...

Re: [Semi-solved] Building ScummVM on macOS 10.14 Mojave
Thanks for looking at this! Just for clarification, setting the system language to English fixed all the problems I mentioned. The ZGI scale > 0.0f assert a̶s̶ ̶w̶e̶l̶l̶ ̶a̶s̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶G̶l̶k̶ ̶_̶d̶e̶f̶a̶u̶l̶t̶F̶o̶r̶e̶g̶r̶o̶u̶n̶d̶ ̶!̶=̶ ̶-̶1̶ ̶&̶&̶ ̶_̶d̶e̶f̶a̶u̶l̶t̶B̶a̶c̶k̶g̶r̶o̶u̶n̶d̶ ̶!̶=̶ ...

Re: Building ScummVM on macOS 10.14 Mojave
I think the atof() issue could be a system locale setting that eg uses comma (,) instead of dot (.) as a decimal point where that particular atof() expects a dot to function correctly (since the version.txt in fonts.dat contains the string "1.2"). Bingo! That seems to be the problem. My s...

Re: Building ScummVM on macOS 10.14 Mojave
That's really weird, isn't it? I found this question on Stack Overflow and thought that I was getting somewhere, but as far as I can tell, none of the advice there makes any difference at all. Well, except for the last one: export CPATH=/Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/usr/include/c++/v1 which ma...

Re: Building ScummVM on macOS 10.14 Mojave
Right, now it says: Out of date fonts. Expected at least 1,200000, but got version 1,000000! Which is kind of weird, as I have repeatedly tried downloading the fonts.dat file manually from the Github repository, deleting it and downloading it again with git checkout, then tried copying it from the R...

Re: Building ScummVM on macOS 10.14 Mojave
Thanks for replying! I've tried setting the extra paths, deleting and recreating the settings, and copying the fonts.dat file to every location I can think of, but that doesn't mean I haven't missed something obvious. It's happened before.

[Semi-solved] Building ScummVM on macOS 10.14 Mojave
I asked about this on IRC some time ago, and Criezy tried to help me, but had no trouble when building it on his own Mojave system. After trying different things to no avail, I thought I might just as well ask here, too. Basically, I have followed the instructions on the wiki , with all engines enab...
