Re: Development Builds - Icon View
I found a crude way of adding / replacing the icons. 7zip will open the icon databases and I can add / delete them. But if you update, it removes everything you have done. ScummVM is looking for gui-icons*.dat files which are standard ZIP files and then sorts them before proceeding. The standard ic...

Just Some Appreciation For ScummVM
As I look back over my collection of King's Quest games with all the flaws, patches, versions, hoops you have to jump through to make them work natively - I am really thankful for ScummVM. I would guess 90% of the bugs, fixes, incompatibilities just do not exist when running them on ScummVM because ...

Re: Development Builds - Icon View
In the daily builds, one of the future features is the ability to sort the game list by list view or icon view. Where are the icons for each game stored? How would I go about adding custom icons to games in this view? I know you can update the icons to populate the view with more icons. Where are t...

Might & Magic 3, 6-8?
Since MM4 & 5 are now supported, is MM3 support possible in the near future? MM4-5 are based off the MM3 engine (from mightandmagic.fandom.com): Might and Magic IV and Might and Magic V use a modified version of the codebase of the third game, with the interesting ability to merge the game data ...

No, I am only using global settings.MusicallyInspired wrote: ↑Tue Mar 22, 2022 2:06 pm Do you have custom graphics settings for the Goblins games? If so, either disable them or also set the "Edit Game" scaling settings to Tv 2x or whatever (I recommend Tv 3x actually at least for 1080p).

Scummvm 2.5.1 OMG Thank You!
I am pretty much always going to use filters on these old games so 2.5.1 is a big improvement for me. Seriously, thank you for adding filters to Open GL. I was going blind trying to read the scummvm UI under SDL surface. It would never allow me to adjust the UI font / size correctly. There was alway...

2.5.1 Scaling Bug With Gobliins?
This is the only game(s) that I have seen this issue on so far. When I start up scummvm in window mode, the UI is about half my screen in size. And when I start a game, the gameplay window is roughly the same size. But if I start any of the Gobliins games (1, 2, 3) the gameplay window is super tiny....

Re: ScummVM 2.5 - Where Are My Filters?
Will the old filters be a part of the OpenGL in future releases? It would be a shame if they could not be. I do not know if this is a limitation of OpenGL or not. I rarely every use OpenGL even on buggy old games.

Re: ScummVM 2.5 - Where Are My Filters?
Ok, that does work. But I have an issue. If I keep the default of OpenGL, I can resize the interface & it looks nice and pretty sharp. See first screenshot. But if I use SDL and resize the interface, everything is blurry and does not rescale correctly. The text looks bad. Any way to fix this usi...

Re: Zork Nemesis Subtitle Patch - How To Apply [Solved]
I finally figured out how to apply the subtitle patch for ScummVM. Just take the patch archive & dump only the addons folder into the main game folder. When in game go to options & there will be a new subtitle on/off menu in the upper right corner. All the other files in the patch are for i...

Re: Discworld1 PC + PSX Speeches - Possible?
There is a separate detection entry for the "Argentum Collection" English version of the game, but even though my disc says "Argentum Collection" it's apparently detected by another entry. I believe mine was included with Discworld 2. There was a separate Argentum Collection rel...

Re: Discworld1 PC + PSX Speeches - Possible?
So do I. We know for sure that the discs with .scn files are director's cut 1 or 2. Discs with .gra files are CD version 1 and is best used as a coaster.eriktorbjorn wrote: ↑Fri Aug 13, 2021 11:48 am I wish they would have said some more about how to tell the versions apart. Re: Discworld1 PC + PSX Speeches - Possible?
Actually sound effects are present, its just my data files for Discworld were not complete (there are two different CD versions of Discworld original and director's cut). Now it plays like it should. Just FYI: There were 4 full versions (non-demo) released for the PC. 1) Floppy version - No speech ...
