But I also would rather have the original game files on GOG, personally. Unmolested. They've already ruined the Gobliiins games this way. There's no way to play the GOG games in DOSBox as there are no game executables besides ScummVM. I think you should blame DotEmu, not GOG, for any issues with Go...

More than 2500 AGS games have been released, to give a lowball number (the AGS Games database, far from complete, has somewhere around 2300); plus many others that have been circulated privately, e.g. betas that were sent out to testers for games that were never officially finished. Many exist in s...

Great update! Changing the screenshot format from bmp to png makes life much easier. But in the future versions, would it possible to either tell ScummVM how to name the screenshots, or at least have them automatically named after the engine that is being used? Now all screenshots are named scummvm+...

I don't know for sure, but I believe RPG engines will be the bigger picture. I am hoping that one day there would be a way to support all those FMV games that are now very tricky to play. As far as other similar projects are concerned, I thought XL engine looked great, but apparently the development...

I am too hoping that this would be possible somehow. I don't need subs for playing the game so much as I would need them for screenshots.

I don't remember how that fan patch worked exactly, but I think it modified some game files, so it's probably the cause for problems with ScummVM.

I think part of the problem is that audio is going on with the speed that it has been recorded, whereas timing for text is designed otherwise. I don't know if it helps or not, but it probably wouldn't hurt to try adjusting text speed slider in game options.
