Re: Horror-themed Adventure Games

The Hugo's House of Horrors trilogy is one I'm particularly fond of because I enjoy them as a kid.

Re: Feature Request - Data compression

I can add #1 to the bug tracker. I'm aware that compression tools exist within ScummVM, but it is a very manual process. I wonder if users even know the tools exist. You have to compress files individually and know what you're doing. It would be nice if ScummVM offered to do this for supported games...

Feature Request - Data compression

ScummVM supports many really old games that were stored on floppies and hardly take any space at all, but it also supports many FMV games of the CD-ROM era that take up tons of space because they relied on old audio and video formats that didn't compress efficiently. Some might say that hard drives ...

Re: Art thou worthy to be the Avatar?

Exult lingered for years without any real development though the threat of their engine being swallowed up by ScummVM seems to have scared them into more active development all of a sudden. It took them 10 years to release a new version, and they only did that once ScummVM came knocking. Ultima VII ...

Re: Which games would you like to be supported on the future?

Holy necropost, Batman! I see people have been requesting the Dynamix/DGDS games in this thread for a good 12 years. I'm not sure what a +1 from me would amount to. I know DGDS engine support has started a few times, but never finished. It looks like the Dynamix games have been some of the most requ...

Re: How to run Glk API games

With the latest snapshot, I just tried adding all the classic Infocom games (39 of them). The only ones that weren't recognized and added were Fooblitzky, Plundered Hearts, Starcross, Suspect, Suspended, Zork 1 and Milliways. Fooblitzky I couldn't add at all. Plundered Hearts, Starcross, Suspect, Su...

That's a coincidence; only just this morning I added a wiki engine stub page for my WIP Legend engine. Well, some good news.. as I've recounted earlier, I started making some progress disassembling Gateway and Companions of Xanth last year. However, I then temporarily put work on them aside whilst ...

I discovered the problem. Buildbot isn't making new builds. The latest "daily" snapshot is actually from May 12th. Grabbing the latest xeen.ccs from Master doesn't work with it. If I grab an older xeen.ccs from here, the game launches: https://github.com/scummvm/scummvm/blob/461171ced17993...

Buildbot not working?

The most recent builds here are from July 20th.

http://buildbot.scummvm.org/snapshots/master/?C=M;O=A

When I launch the latest Windows x64 bit build, the date that shows in the build is May 12th.

But there are recent commits to the code.
