The "speech repair feature" for GK1 has me curious. Can anyone elaborate on what this does?

Re: *UPDATES!* ESRGAN AI Upscaling (HiRes packs now possible!)
Here's how it looks with FSR using Lossless Scaling. They also included frame interpolation for 60fps. It's far from high res rendering but it's certainly more acceptable to the eye than vanilla. The frame interpolation I would disable--but there's no denying how eerily fluid the game animates duri...

It escapes me why anyone would want "achievement" messages in a point and click adventures.
Isn't this kind of the wrong genre for "achievement hunters"?

Re: *UPDATES!* ESRGAN AI Upscaling (HiRes packs now possible!)
The concept here looks very promising - but the links in the original post (to the ScummVM-X fork, SCI Companion X, etc) all appear to be dead and the content removed from the original GitHub account. Does anybody know what happened to this effort? When the original author of those modified tools a...

The German version of Jewels Of The Oracle gets detected, but immediately crashes on launch. Anyone else getting this problem?

That's downright terrifying.LogicDeLuxe wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2024 10:04 pm I played with ComfyUI. This took a lot of tweaking. This image was then upscaled and further enhanced from 1024x768 to 1440x1080 Full HD with Topaz Photo AI.

Re: Hopkins FBI - tiny mouse cursor at 4k resolution
I can confirm that this happens in 2.7.0 and 2.8.0git built from current master HEAD with the demo for Hopkins FBI too (tested with the Windows 95/English one). Setting the graphics mode to SurfaceSDL seems to fix the cursor scaling, so it seems to be OpenGL specific issue. I think this can be file...

Hopkins FBI - tiny mouse cursor at 4k resolution
I just tried running Hopkins FBI on the latest Windows daily build and it seems there's something wrong with the mouse cursor scaling because it's very small, almost invisible, so much so that the small text underneath the cursor becomes illegible with shaders enabled: scummvm 2023-06-23 13-00-42.jp...

Re: DREAMM - The Best LucasArts Emulator? (Another Conversation with Aaron Giles)
I agree it's not competition. It's a great approach for people who want the games to run more like they did on original hardware. From a consumer's perspective it's always great to have options.

Re: Favourite shader?
With so many options now available for shaders, does anyone have a favourite? I like using 'crt/crt-geom.glsp' - it looks sharp but not pixelated, and the rounded corners look good to me when playing on a 16:9 screen .. feels like my old Phillips Amiga monitor. Can't say I've tried them all though,...

Re: *UPDATES!* ESRGAN AI Upscaling (HiRes packs now possible!)
Hello, Criezy already responded on this, here: I think distributing scripts and trained models to let players generate the upscaled backgrounds from their original copy of the game is fine from a legal perspective. Of course that requires some work from each player, so if the copyright holders allo...
