Re: Getting multiple game profiles to read from the same save files
Thank you to both of you for your replies. Does this also occur when saving through in game F5 saving too? I had been doing that trick of duplicating and renaming existing saves and so far haven't encountered any issues, but that's good to know and I'll remember it going forwards. I guess one really...

Getting multiple game profiles to read from the same save files
Is it possible to get multiple profiles of the same game to read off from a single unified save file? The reason I ask is because I've created profiles for the default audio and for MT-32, sometimes additional soundfonts etc. I enjoy going back and forth and playing games I love with different audio...

Re: Shaders outside of the built-in ones not working?
Thank you so much for that breakdown! That was very informative and I feel I have a better understanding of the issues I've encountered. I really appreciate you having taken the time. So at the moment it sounds like the best odds for achieving the result I'm after is to figure out what dependents th...

Re: Shaders outside of the built-in ones not working?
Thank you for that advice. So I tried loading built in shaders from within their original location: C:\Users\Norikiyo\AppData\Roaming\ScummVM\Icons\shaders-20230108 And oddly enough some work, and some don't (the ones that don't do work when loading up through the packaged ones, but not when choosin...

Re: Shaders outside of the built-in ones not working?
My bad I didn’t explain properly. Actually that error log has two separate errors in succession. I first tried loading lottes and then crt royale and neither worked. Both were pulled out from the packaged shaders in ScummVM. Nothing I do seems to work. I’d love to hear if anyone else on Windows 10 i...

Re: Shaders outside of the built-in ones not working?
Thank you so much for the reply. So for example here's the latest log after trying a couple out again: [2024-04-11 12:15:42] WARNING: LibRetroPipeline::loadPasses: Invalid file path 'C:/Users/Norikiyo/AppData/Roaming/ScummVM/Icons/shaders/crt-lottes.glsl'! Shaders outside of the built-in ones not working?
First want to thank the team for the incredible progress over the past few years. All the issues I had with previous versions have all been ironed out, and the inclusion of shaders is the greatest thing! I do have an issue however, and that is to get ScummVM to read shaders outside of the packaged o...

Re: Favourite shader?
I really like the crt-consumer overall, but I do not like the rounded corners. I wish I knew how to make it flat instead. Sev showed me how to remove the warp! (https://forums.scummvm.org/viewtopic.php?p=98200#p98200). Try this shader without the warp on Discworld I. It is beautiful to me. Would yo...

Re: How to bring up original menus in Lucasarts games?
Just for an update, I tested it on another PC using Windows 7 and it didn't work there either. I tried versions going back as far as I could (after a while they didn't seem to work well), so I wonder if the functionality hasn't been broken for a long time on Windows. Surprising no one brought it up ...

Re: How to bring up original menus in Lucasarts games?
EDIT: Nevermind, I realized I had to use github there and not my scummvm account. Sorry about that. I sent it in.

Re: How to bring up original menus in Lucasarts games?
Thank you. I was able to test alt + enter and that works just fine (going from window to full screen and vice versa), but alt F5 no matter which alt I press does nothing. I will go and create a ticket.

Re: The case against aspect correction of Monkey Island
I just tested with Sam and Max and Fate of Atlantis, and the aspect ratio correction works for both of them for me. Knowing the way it is implemented, it should actually work for all 320x200 games. As for the stretch to window mode, the issue is that the result depends on the ratio of your window (...

Re: How to bring up original menus in Lucasarts games?
So lucasarts original menus do not work with 2.1.1 either. It works in 2.1.1 (and 2.1.2) for me. I'm supposed to press Alt + F5 to get the original menus right? It does nothing on my build. I'm running Windows 10 64bits and tried both the recommended build of 2.1.2 and the old 2.1.1. I tried in man...

Re: The case against aspect correction of Monkey Island
So actually just enabling correct aspect ratio fixes it for many games but not all. I had to add stretch to window for games like Fate of Atlantis and Sam and Max to go full screen 4:3. This leads me to wonder. Is there any disadvantage to just using stretch to window and leave correct aspect ratio ...

Re: How to bring up original menus in Lucasarts games?
So lucasarts original menus do not work with 2.1.1 either. I guess it broke from there on. I'll try reverting to 2.1.0 for now, or alternatively I might just stick with 2.1.2 until the next update that fixes this.
