Re: Double Fine is making Grim Fandango Remastered!

I can imagine the pain... While you are there talking about patches, just a dev curiosity: why LA encrypted their patches? The encryption is very weak and anyway you can retrieve all the contents with a few registry hack. Thanks!

I don't know which is the reason for the savegame bug, but please note that the savegames are not interchangeable between the official version of ResidualVM and this mouse version.

Impressive work, even if I'm scared by the amount of the hacks required ;) Personally I don't like the inventory interface, I still prefer the old one, maybe with a click on the left/right of the current object to change it. For the copyright, IANAL I think that PatchR is a safe way to distribute mo...

The demo win executable is only a WinZip self-extracting package. I was able to extract its contents on my Linux machine with unzip. Anyway, yours machine specifications are very close to the original requirements of GF, so I'm not really sure if ResidualVM is so optimized to match the performances ...

The hardware accelerated renderer used in ResidualVM uses plain OpenGL, but AFAIK on Raspberry, OpenGL is software emulated, so it's slower that our software renderer. For an acceptable framerate, you'll probably have to wait for a port to OpenGL ES, which is hardware accelerated on Raspberry.

Gfupd101.exe doesn't recognize pre-patched versions, it add patches files again, even if they aren't needed.

I'm quite sure that is the unpatched version, since the md5 of data000.lab is the same of mine italian unpatched version.

@counting_pine: for simplicity in ResidualVM the patch is mandatory, even on already patched versions.

No, you can't add comments or similar. Anyway you can adjust the decrypt script to strip the comments before the re-crypt. AFAIK there aren't lines that should be leaved as is. Just avoid to redorder them, or add unnecessary whitspaces and newlines.

Just a clarification: it seems that the official font has all the latin-1 characters, so you don't need the font from Hungarian version.
