Latest SVN Builds

Periodically I release SVN builds of ScummVM for the GP2X on my ScummVM for the GP2X website for testing by a wider audience to help with compatibility and functionality improvements. Unless these builds are marked as 'preview' releases or 'release candidates' then they are officially unsupported ho...

on a side note - do you know whether the save games are "portable" - i.e. saved games from the original game on the PC, can they be loaded under scummvm, and under GP2X ? this is something else i could test without having to play the entire game. These SVN style builds will as a rule have...

I have just done a build from today’s SVN (mainly for sugarcube ;)) It is totally untested (other the loading the menu) and being an untested build I would rather it not be reported as a new (or test) release on sites. You can find it here . If it looks good I will clean things up and commit some ...

Re: daily builds ?

thanks for the info. i was thinking of trying to build myself from SVN, this saves me the trouble. anyway it did not seem straigthforward to make the build on a windows platform. Hiya, Unless you build your own patched tool-chain on Windows there is no way to build a working GP2X build on Windows a...

Re: daily builds ?

are daily builds created for scummvm port ? last build i found is 0.9.1 i would like to try some HE games for which updates have been made yesterday ? they are now in the main builds. GP2X builds are done ad-hoc (as the build is a manual process) and they are released on my site however the port is...

There sort of is already.. http://gp32emu.dcemu.co.uk/scumm32.shtml I think it might be a bit old though... I don't know whether DJWillis has plans to update it or not. I think the Gp32 is unlikely to be able to run a lot of the engines, particularly newer ones. I can recommend the GP2x port though...

On 0.9.1 for the GP2X BS1 and 2 are classed as 'Mostly Working'. There are known problems with saves (autosaves work most of the time) that I will fix up this in a future release based on SVN.

Check the compat. list http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/GP2X#0.9.1_Release

It is ;), that also works. Infact I do most of my coding for the GP2X with it running in a small windows on my PC via TV out , having a keyboard and mouse on the GP2X is damm handy for coding and testing not just playing games.

Re: Sam & Max Wak-a-Rat

Aaaaah how frustrating! No way anyone will be able to hit 20 out of 40 rats using the GP2X's joystick at the Wak-a-Rat game at the carnival... I guess the only way to get past this bit right now is exporting the save-file to PC and use the mouse to win. Really?, it is harder with the GP2X stick for...

Great job! Tried a couple of games and everything works great! I'm really looking forward to playing some of my old favorites on the GP2X! A minor niggle: In Broken Sword and Curse of Monkey Island the text is too small to read (this goes for the menus as well). Maybe this can be solved by having a...

rafagel and danj00100, Thanks for the bug reports, could you provide save game files so I can test they are fixed in the next release. I suspect (well 99% sure) all the crashes are the same bug that I meant to fix some time ago but save games would help me be sure. Now I have a small amount of free ...

Does anyone know did djwillis use a vm on windows with windows executable compilers or a linux machine with linux executable compilers? Or am I asking stupid questions? My GP2X GCC build scripts produce working tool-chains from CygWin (hosted on Win32) or native Linux jut fine, they also work fine ...

Re: Beneath a steel sky menu not working/not showing

Hi I was wondering if you knew why beneath a steel skys point and click menu does not show with this latest version of Scumm for the GP2X?. It will play the intro movie right up to the first puzzle then it does not show a menu to choose Use/open/pick up etc.... I am not quite sure what you mean? Ar...
