Sorry about the late reply, been away. I did mean the 2.71 version of the firmware, it was a typo. I didn't know it is possible to downgrade the firmware, will have to look into it.
Tom.

Sorry about the late reply. As far as I am aware Sony have deliberately stopped homebrew games. I don't think its possible to downgrade the firmare but its worth looking into. Another thing to look into is the GTA game had an exploit that can allow you to play homebrew games. I heard they fixed it s...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there is a way to play homebrew games on a PSP with firmware version 2.80. If you want to get a PSP you will need to make sure it has an older firmware version. I don't know what the newest version of the firmware is that you can play homebrew games on. Tom.

More specifically I found info from FFMPG and it mentions this code is writen in C#. The libsmack library I stumbled upon is apparently written for all POSIX systems. I woul...

Open Source Smacker Decoder
Just wanted to ask the developers if they are aware of a new open source (GPL) Smacker decoder being produced. Currently no files have been released but it might be worth keeping an eye on the project. Its called libsmack and can be found at http://sourceforge.net/projects/libsmack I stumbled apon i...

I notice that alot of games save their games in My Documents in their own folders, this I find anoying as you end up with lots of folders in the My Documents folder. However, when I installed Prey, it saved its game im My Games\Prey foder (inside My Documents). I thought this might be a good idea fo...

For that you need to download the ogg tools found at http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Vorbis.htm and copy the oggenc.exe file into your directory. cant remember if any of the dlls need to be copied over though.

I made an installer for the two disk version. It has not fully been tested though and I think it automatically convirts the voices files to flac files even if you chose ogg or mp3 audio format. It takes forever to install but you can give it a try if you like (and have the two cd version). The link ...
