Mmmm... anyways, I've just read that BS1 and BS2 aren't completable on DC port, due to the limited resources (16 MB RAM) of DC. If I recall it correctly, both BS and BS2 did work decent but not excellent on a P75 16 MB RAM under W95.

This is standard (and probably wrong) Dreamcast answer but what recording speed did you use? Most DC's have a tough time trying to load 52x-40x-32x recorded CD's specially PCB rev2. Also make sure you are using a CD brand which have been tested before with your console.

For those of us who run in fear every time they had to edit code, would it be possible a select refresh rate/cable type screen before loading ScummVM? Sorry if it's an stupid question, but I'm out of knowledge about DC programming - just bought one last week ;)

If your TV does not support 60 Hz mode, I'd bet for a refresh rate problem. If your TV is capable of that rate, I'll check those crappy Euroconnectors, maybe is a bit loose or try to plug it on another socket.
