Where are ScummVM Game files stored? Trouble with reinstall

I had to reinstall Windows 7 last week. Because Windows 7 can now reinstall without formatting the hard drive all data was saved and ScummVM folder as well as game folders were untouched, but when I try to execute a game I found that the game data is no longer stored within ScummVM. I can manually r...

Point taken. Lawyers are evil, so I don't blame you. The patch, or upgrade, is legal. Lucasarts has not objected to the patch, which I believe they offered at one time. I've never heard of LucasArts offering such an upgrade. They do offer an upgrade for Loom , but that's just to add Roland MT-32 mus...

Well, anyway. I got it working. For people with similar problems in the future ... Ignore the CD. Just run the "assemble" program again which came in the upgrade package. Then move the audio.mp3 to the same folder as DATA and rename it track1.mp3. Works great. ... and yes, the "free u...

Well, I own Loom legally. If you are saying that there are illegal upgrades then perhaps you could direct me to the legal upgrade which is supported by SCUMMVM. Lucasarts does not sell it as I checked. In any case, I removed the four minutes of silence and the first pieces of dialogue work okay, but...

Well, it was an upgrade from my floppies. I don't know where I got the upgrade from but it was a single audio file on CD. Are you telling me that if I edit my wave to eliminate the four minutes of silence it should work right?

Well, I have not selected variable bit rate so it should be constant, unless the wav itself is wrong (but it worked perfect on my old machine). Now I did notice that there is suppose to be 4 minutes and 32 seconds of silence at the beginning of the WAV/MP3 file, but in playing the files on my Media ...

Okay. I have managed to convert the file to MP3 and placed in the correct directory. However, when I play the sound is not in sync. The words are not matched correctly. I have also converted the files to WAV in hopes that may make a difference, but I am lost at this point. Perhaps it has to do with ...

Sorry, but I am new to XP and only occasionally needed SCUMMVM before, so bear with me. Where can I find this LAME program? Is it free? I have Googled but get back many different shareware items. Which one is supported by SCUMMVM?

This is twice that I have read about how "easy" to convert the file to MPG and that the instructions are in the readme file, but perhaps my readme files are old. I have an ISO on CD, but my new XP computer does not seem to recognize this. I checked the readme and it does not say anything a...

To partially answer my own question, I found that reading directly off the CD rather than the install directory makes Scummvm recognize the game but it plays far to stuttery off CD. I am going to try to install the game completely to hard drive, and will let you know.

Does not recognize Curse

I installed Curse of Monkey Island and it runs decent without SCummvm except that the sound flakes out every now and again, so I tried Scummvm and it does not recognize the game when I show it the correct directory, but your site shows it to be compatible. I am using 0.9.0 and Windows XP.
