Re: Hail to the kingdom!

Well, I love reversing hardcoded logic, it helps (=> SM). That said, it means it requires more testing, which is why the inclusion is more difficult. Escape from Hell is a RPG, which means there are a lot of objects, spells, weapons, ... Each having potentially an effect which is hardcoded. The tele...

Hail to the kingdom!

We are very pleased to announce today the start of the testing period of two single-game engines: Kingdom: The Far Reaches and Escape From Hell ! Kingdom was developed and released by Interplay in 1995. Only the DOS version of the game (available on gog.com ) is supported. It's a cartoon FMV game, w...

Re: Which games would you like to be supported on the future?

@IndianaJones, cfr Hyperman. I think you're wrong. There's that small EXE, there are DLLs, and there are ROC files which seems to have a MZ signature. I'll have a real look at those ROC files, but if it's confirmed then the total of binary files is about 600Kb. -Edit- Confirmed: those are also execu...

... Is there a demo somewhere? Was it actually sold or distributed as an advertising of the event?

Re: Someone's In The Kitchen on ScummVM?

I had a look at the game. It's less rare than I expected as I found a copy on ebay. The first issue with the game is that it's a Win95 game. If you set the appropriate compatibility in recent Windows, it works properly (though a bit slow) so it's still possible to install it and play it (I must conf...

Re: Izzy's Adventure for ScummVM?

Could you please give some more detail about this game? (full title, publisher... whatever may help us to know what you're talking about)

Visual Novel are not rejected per se, but currently the only visual novels proposed were (at the very least) erotic, so they were vetoed. Do you have a title in mind?

I have an original of LSL3 which is doing that (FR+EN). You can chose in the original English, French or both. I think I also have a eco quest (1 or 2?) DE+EN (not completely sure, I have to search). For the other titles, it's not really simple, but we could keep the idea for the future (when it's p...

For the info, we also fix original bugs. That's clearly an advantage compared to emulators.

The best source of documentation for the supported versions is... the source code :/ Now, I must say I own several versions of Fascination, so most likely you're looking at Something I added. There's a CD version which needs a tool (provided by ScummVM) to make it playable (fake TOCs on CD). I also ...

There's also some pretty gore scenes in Hopkins. What would you suggest? A popup when you start the game to mention it contains mature content or Something generic like that?

I have discussed with LK Avalon concerning this game. The status is: sources lost, developers lost, everything lost. Of course there's always the possibility to see it worked on one day, but it's unlikely as it's an obscure game never released in English...
