Where homebrew is concerned, there are two ideal firmwares imo. The first being 1.50 and the second being a custom firmware created by DarkAlex called 2.71SE, which is basically a hybrid 1.50/2.71 firmware with all the benefits of 1.50 and 2.71. Meaning that you can boot UMD's which require higher f...

I know the 2.0 loader has the option of setting cpu speed to 333mhz, so the standard release of ScummVM is all you need for that. I don't know about 2.6 but if there is an option in the loader to configure the cpu speed to 333 then the standard release will do and no special 333mhz build should be r...

Well, I don't believe Dosbox was developed much beyond the initial beta release and its very limited in terms of what the PSP version can do. In fact, I believe its incredibly slow and there is no mouse or joystick support. There's the Atari ST emulator which is very good and runs at 100% full speed...

Bring up the virtual keyboard and use the '0' key. Its the 'sucker' punch key and will knock out your opponent instantly. Its a bit cumbersome but its a good workaround for now and, most importantly, will allow you to progress.

As someone whose completed CoMI on a 333mhz build I can safely say its very playable with only one or two notable areas where the lag is overly intrusive (The banjo duel being the chief offender). I don't understand how you wouldn't be able to notice a difference before reaching that scene anyway; t...

Finished the game and happy to say, apart from the Murray bug at the beginning, the game was relatively bug-free for me. Apart from the occasional audio glitch and odd slowdown the game is very playable in the current cvs build. As I mentioned before, the only really major slowdown that occured was ...

I had the same problem during that particular scene (Where you encounter Murray on the plank of wood and fish the skeleton arm and sword from the sea). I'm using English language version of CoMI with no compression on FW1.50 with yesterdays CVS build. Crash is kinda random in that if you stay on tha...

Thanks. Greatly appreciated. Just had a quick go on CoMI and there is a big improvement. Bringing up the inventory and the cannon sequence isn't anywhere near as sluggish. Theres stilll some slowdown in the town square, but its still very playable and isn't that off-putting compared to the standard ...

Well, you should see a noticable improvement, though at the cost of battery life mind, when running at 333mhz. I'd be surprised if it runs flawlessly and at full speed though. CoMI is pushing the PSP quite hard already and to be honest most of the modern console emu's are pushing the PSP to its limi...

If you find time to build a 333 cvs version, then I'd be greatly interested in trying it out. Been holding back playing CoMI on the PSP because it runs a little too sluggish for me at the moment. It'd be interesting to see how better the PSP set at 333 copes with CoMI (I know it makes the world of d...

Bug reported. Should add that I couldn't reproduce the bug from loading a saved game and playing that for about half-an-hour. MI1 CD seems to be perfectly playable until a new version of scummvm is out you'll just remember to save often. Just pretend you're playing one of those old sierra games :win...

Well I thought I didn't have this problem but then I haven't really played MI apart from to check if I could save. However, I did play it for about 15-20 minutes to see if I could replicate the problem and, sure enough, after about 15 minutes it fails to save and also the save I had made before is m...

Mine worked fine with no problems. Theres a link on the site detailing exactly what files are needed in order for it to work on scummvm. Have a look in the faq or documentation links; its there somewhere. Maybe that will help you, but, for me at least, Sam and Max talkie version works just fine. Som...

I've not had any save probs in MI1 or any other game I've played so far for that matter. My MI version is the one with cd audio (re-encoded to ogg), so maybe the problem is exclusive to a particular version of MI1.

I actually left the backlight auto-off setting on 10 minutes, but the manual states it darkens the screen after 1 minute (guess reading the manual does help after all  ) Switched it off completely and problem now solved. Thanks for your help, I guess I'm still trying to get to grips with my PSP.
