Well if anyone's interested.... I finally managed to put the entire ingame soundtrack online, here:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=Q2WRPK6T

Files were extracted from DIGMUSIC.BUN, joined up using foobar2000, renamed to the non-truncated track labels, and finally encoded with LAME.

Have fun. :)

ScummRev will not extract the music from DIGMUSIC.BUN, unfortunately (tried with both v2 and v5).

The only ways I found to get the tracks out of the BUN file are with the Dig Music Player, or using compress_scumm_bun.exe from the ScummVM tools.

Thanks for the info Fingolfin,
Hope this is not a stupid question but I'm assuming IMC is a lossless compression?

can't check from here though
No, they're definitely stereo (just checked on my headphones :))

Are the samples compressed (in a lossy way) inside the BUN file? If so, probably a little pointless using v high bitrates... I don't know, but it sure looks like it: the original DIGMUSIC.BUN is about 250MB, whereas the WAV files amount to just over 550MB. I don't suppose any lossless compression c...

ScummVM tools question (audio compression)

Hiya, I'm trying to extract some of The Dig's in-game music. I found a utility in the tools, compress_scumm_bun, that can get the music clips out of the DIGMUSIC.BUN file. Unfortunately it then immediately deletes them :P but a quick source change fixed that. I now have over 500MB worth of WAV clips...

Oh, I'm more than happy to tell you what's failing. :) I just didn't want to come across too heavy in my first post.... Basically, I can't get libmpeg2 and flac to compile. ScummVM fails too, whether because of the missing libraries or not, I'm not sure... g++ -Wp,-MMD,"sound/.deps/mp3.d",...

Compiling questions

Hiya, Who is the best person to ask about compiling ScummVM? I'm trying to compile a win32 executable, using MinGW. I've been following the instructions on the Wiki pretty closely but am having no luck... Has anyone had more success recently? Which compiler do the devs use for the binary releases? T...

Thanks. Does anyone know the last time Jarek was contacted about this? Apart from reverse engineering, is there a solution other than MAME going GPL?

Adlib (OPL2) emulation

I'm led to believe that ScummVM is using code from MAME to handle the Adlib (ie. OPL2/YM3812) emulation, but a very old version, due to the current code not being GPLed.
Is this true?
Would one of the devs be able to confirm this?
Thanks!

Where to get Saved Games?

Hi, I was wondering whether anyone had an idea of where to get ScummVM saved games, in particular for Monkey Island 2? I want to record some of the music and am trying to save a bit of time! Thanks in advance.
