Re: Widescreen mod

Unfortunately, there has not been much progress in a long time. The project appears to have halted.

Re: "Return to Zork": support for different versions?

Thanks for the info, that's amazing!

I really hope this helps getting it implemented in ScummVM one day :) For now, I will finally try out some of my ReelMagik games that have just collected dust over the years <3

Re: Blade runner game - restored content version on gog.com

You came to the ScummVM forums to let everyone know that the ScummVM team has implemented a mode for restored content in ScummVM?

I ... thanks?

Gee, there was a game based on Bruce Coville's My Teacher Is an Alien? Is it uncommon?
Yes. Or, it is at least not very well known. But you can pick up a copy quite cheaply on eBay. The graphics and concept are interesting.

Re: Twenty years ago today...

Sorry, badly worded, what i meant is it's not a Scumm Emulator/VM machine any more. It's added tons more engines to a point where even games which have no form of connection to the Scumm engine and it's uses are being supported. At one point it was for Graphical adventure and role-playin games but ...

Re: *UPDATES!* ESRGAN AI Upscaling (HiRes packs now possible!)

I may be misremembering, but I believe they only retouched the original videos (applied some filters) and chopped them up (they are shorter) to get rid of some of the artefacts. They even replaced some shots with still frames by Dave Gibbons, like in the introscene seen here. Reason being, they did ...

Re: Sanitarium Engine - All help is welcome

Hi all, I've recently fixed a number of bugs related to the conversation and inventory systems, so at least chapter 1 is now completable, however random crashes still occur My repo: https://github.com/alxpnv/scummvm-asylum Chapter 1 demo: https://vimeo.com/511557296 That's fantastic! Well done!

This person compiled the engine on their own. It is not merged with ScummVM or available to download. Like you said yourself, you will just have to wait and see if anything changes, I'm afraid.

True, but unhelpful.

Ones best bet for playing the game right now would be a virtual Windows 95 installation, in for instance VMWare, regardless of original bugs in the engine.

Re: [Discworld Noir] What's with Lewton's walking animation?

Most of the problems running DW Noir on modern platforms comes from issues running on multiple cpu cores. I modified the executable to only run on one cpu core back in the day, which seemed to resolve most problems.

How modest. You might as well have searched for 'every point and click adventure game made ever' on mobygames and posted the result.
