Re: I don't need to remind you that this investigation is strictly unofficial

Amazing! Didn't know anyone was still working on this engine. Do you think it would be possible to add the SegaCD voiceovers to this?

Re: ScummVM 2.7.0: “The Real Slim Shader”

Great release, finally shaders without having to utilise Reshade. Now is a great time to replay MI 1+2 before diving into Return to Monkey Island. Thanks guys!

Re: Curse Of Monkey Island - best graphic settings

Another option is to use Retroarch which enables its complete shader suite.

You can even the new Mega Bezel Reflection Shader to achieve something like the attached picture.

This should be fixed in the latest daily build.
Great!

Re: Seek the truth

The game is for sale on Steam now btw. It crashes early in the game when OpenGL is selected (I can file a bug report) but works flawlessly when you select SDL as graphics mode. Only the files inside data/DE (or your language code) are necessary it seems.

Re: Seek the truth

Me too, major congratulations for bringing this to the finish line. This was the game I played with my first girlfriend 25 years ago so lots of memories involved. Thanks! Also interesting to read about the development.

Dynamix also made Space Quest 5, though it wasn't advertised as such. Just some random trivia for those who don't know. You can definitely tell from the graphics, Dynamix had some great talents in this department. Rise of the Dragon is one of my personal classics. ScummVM could allow for combining ...

Impressive release. Just when I thought that ScummVM has lost a bit of steam there comes Sherlock Holmes and Rex Nebular support. Kudos for the latter one, I know that it was hard to implement considering it's all hard-coded logic (if I remember that correctly).

That's great news, I stopped asking about the game, didn't wanna go nagging, but never losing hope about it being supported some day.
