Sure, but that doesn't change what I've said... (I'm not complaining.)

Yes, I'm sure I'm talking about the door upstairs ("it was locked to keep the ghoul that haunts it at bay" or something) and not the crypt.

Either it's bug in the game or ScummVM.

Well, there's little that can be done as Kirben said, it's a bug in the original game's sound samples, which can't be altered in a legal way Actually Kirben was talking about something else unrelated the gaps in CMI's audio. It's cool to see that ScummVM is more open to improving the game, though, ...

Then it's definitely a bug then... Why does Guybrush keep asking the bartender to unlock the door upstairs when it's already open? That shouldn't be an option in the game.

So it's either a bug in ScummVM or in the game...

Aye, the game and its sequel are both brilliant. Probably the best Sherlock Holmes games ever made, I think.

Unless you've just tested it or previously looked into this, I don't see how you can say with confidence that there's no pause. It's a fairly minor pause in the examples I gave, but an unnatural one, none-the-less. Also, I haven't altered the subtitle settings in *any* way. It's actually a new insta...

I'm not sure I understand the question, but the old behaviour (0.9.x and earlier, I believe) was for the Windows version of ScummVM to put scummvm.ini in the Windows folder. It still looks there for backwards compatibility, and will then probably keep using that file. But if it isn't there, it shou...

Um, if it's not found, shouldn't it CREATE one?

That surely is a bug, then. Perhaps someone else can verify?

Really? I don't remember that happening when I played it.

CMI: Is this a bug or is the game just weird?

Can anyone help me discover if there's something wrong here or not? I'm playing Curse of Monkey Island in NORMAL MODE and I've arrived on Blood Island. Griswold Goodsoup has mentioned that the door to the lodger's room has been locked because it's haunted and Guybrush can ask if he'll open it for hi...

Ok, I found two small examples of the pause between lines that sound odd. When you first arrive on Blood Island, talking to Madame Xima or Goodsoup (behind the bar) both results in Guybrush saying something like: "Hi, I'm Guybrush Threepwood, I -" and then the character interrupts him befo...

A lot of bugs found in the original games themselves have already been fixed under ScummVM That's cool to hear, but I guess what I'm suggesting is possibly crossing over into "improvements" rather than fixes, as and such, I'd imagine some people would rather have the games as they origina...

The number of pieces of eight you can have is actually only very limited, as far I remember. Same goes for the number of beads in FOA.

It would be interesting to use this idea to insert some of the higher quality sound effects from the Amiga versions. Would that be possible (in theory)?

I suggest you to learn what ScummVM is. Maybe another guy or a ScummVM developer can clear your thinking about what this project is, I suggest you to read the FAQ. Please don't patronizingly suggest that I "read the FAQ" while you can't even be bothered to read the post you're replying to...
