Re: PSP lite port?

Is it possible to runn SCUMM on a PSP lite? I have firmware version 3.72. I have read that it is possible to run ScummVM on a Slim & Lite. HOWEVER, you need custom firmware installed and for that you need a Pandora's Battery with Despertar del Cementerio installed on the memory stick. If you do...

Try downloading patchSFO and using that. AFAIK, there are 2 versions, one patches EBOOTs in the GAME folder and the other does the GAME150 folder.

Are you using a custom XMB theme?

There is a DOSbox port to PSP. I haven't used it myself but have heard that it can be 'laggy' (even with games that run full speed on ScummVM).

well, I know I don't have a TA082/86 (they are PSP motherboards that block firmware 1.50 from running when unpatched) so this is only a guess, but if it is a TA082/86 I think you would have had to press X twice to start the downgrade. There is a way to check, when you open the UMD tray, look at the ...

when you downgraded, did it say some thing about your PSP being a TA082 and needed patching?

I think there are modified firmware versions which contain a both "homebrew able" firmware and a later one so you can still play current games That is correct. Tim20, when you read my whole guide, you notice i mention firmwares 2.71 SE, 3.XX OE, 3.XX M33, etc, etc (where XX stands for the...

Yes, at least, it did for me (I also am from UK). The whole regional update thing is just a mistake, updates don't have regions (Thats why an update download from the American/Europe website has icons only viewable on Japanese region PSPs).

There is very little chance of 'messing up' your PSP. Most of the time if there is a problem it is user error, but if every is done correctly, then it is about as safe as an official update.

I'll take a guess and say you read my guide. Well, unfortunatly for you, not a lot has changed since then. If you only have access to the one PSP, then you are going to need to buy an unpatched Liberty City Stories or Lumines (I would recomend Lumines, there are more copies of the Patched Liberty Ci...

You don't happen to have a 8gb memory card? I too had this problem with SCUMMVM just turning the PSP off when executed so i made some research on the net and found out that the PSP can have problems reading homebrew that is past the 4gb on the memory card... Don't ask me why since i'm not an expert...

If its just regular numbers, pull up the OSK (On-Screen Keyboard) with select, press the left trigger, use analog to highlight the number you want and press cross. If its F numbers (F1-F12), the PSP port seems to lack these buttons (though i'm testing with MI, keyboard for goblins may be different) ...

Wait, what do you mean by 1.00 eboot? EDIT: No, I was using 3.52 Kernel version, but I can switch between 1.5 and 3.52 kernel versions if that's what you want. 1.00 EBOOT - 1 EBOOT.PBP, 1 folder (ScummVM-PSP) 1.50 EBOOT - 2 EBOOT.PBPs, 2 folders (ScummVM-PSP and ScummVM-PSP%) ScummVM doesn't work o...

sounds to me like you are using the 1.5 version, but only 1 folder. redownload scummvm and use the 1.00 eboot. put that in a folder (name doesn't matter, but something relevant, like ScummVM-PSP, so you remember what it is might be useful) inside GAME150. If that fails, find a program called patchSF...
