Save/Load in Simon 1 not working,problem with enhanced music

Title says all, it only stoped after i used 0.X.0a, although i did put the enhanced music on as well, so i'll try without that Using ScummVM DS 0.X.0a on a R4DS with kernal 1.11 and the DOS CD version of the game EDIT: Ok, I tried without the enhanced music and saving/loading works (even though I sa...

yes, but two problems
1)Not all games run perfectlly/full speed.
2)This question has nothing to do with ScummVM so would be more suited at a dedicated PSP emulation website, such as PSP News (DCemu) or PSP Updates (Qj).

Other than having more build for the extra games now supported and (maybe) some bugs, what actually makes using this beta so much more different to set-up/install/use that the latest stable release?

Themes are made of 4 24-bit bmp images and a ini file that contain text colour values.

Also all of the files for the firmware need the filenames and extensions in capitals (_DS_MSHL.NDS, rather than _ds_mshl.nds), otherwise it won't be detected.

Thanks for the replies. I don't think the extra RAM would help speed things up as this is usually associated with the CPU and GPU, than again I might be wrong, maybe a developer can state otherwise. My idea with extra RAM making game faster is that it could cache more data, which loads quicker from...

Another fundimental would be how soon till the new hardware/software is 'hacked' so developers can use it's full potential. Clem - I'm not very knowledgeable about these thing, so I ask if the extra memory (if indeed the extra memory is RAM and not Flash memory for writing the firmware to) would hel...

common sense tells me that 3.51 was especially designed to not make it work (why else update the firmware?) more or less, most firmware updates are to 'strengthen security' (bundled with something useless to make it seem worthwhile. 3.51 supposedly has a PS Network icon added (According to Wikipedi...

the 2 availible modchips (Undiluted Plantinum and Devolution) would not be sold in shops, you would have to order them online. Then you would need to be good with a soldering iron, or find someone who is so they can install it for you. This does void your warrenty, however, it does let you have 2 fi...

You're screwed,no exploit for 3.51...yet. Your 3 options are;
1)Keep your 3.51 and hope for an exploit soon.
2)Sell your PSP, then buy another, preowned, and hope it has 3.50- firmware on it.
3)Buy a modchip.

besides the obvious, yes.

if you dont know, the obvious would be;
needs lumines, not gta
only works on 3.50, not 3.03
needs the 3.50 downgrader, not the 3.03 downgrader

did you try reading the documentation yet? http://forums.scummvm.org/viewtopic.php?t=3466 clem yeah, i need to get onto a proper browser soon. That is a little outdated in as far as 3.50 is exploited/downgradeable, but the wii browser doesn't let me enter enough text to update it. You need a copy o...

slight bug in simon 1 and 2

Hi Agentq, just tried this beta with Simon the Sorcerer 1 and 2, however, when I am in the save screen (and load screen), trying to use the keyboard will crash the game. Using the keyboard anywhere else works fine.

I'm using a R4DS with 1.10 firmware and DOS CD versions of both games.
