In the scene at the bottom of the upper elevator, there are two walkways; one in the foreground, and another in the background. If I remember correctly, it's possible for Joey to end up on the rear walkway with Foster on the main one; in which case you can call to Joey with that particular conversat...

Didn't the ScummVM team actually get official permission to support Discworld 1 & 2? I thought there was just a problem finding the source code, and that people are understandably reluctant to start reverse-engineering them while there's still a chance the code will be supplied?

I'm no expert, but I think the general rule of thumb is that you can only make references to Nazism within Germany if it's depicted accurately and within historical context - no glorification, no propaganda, no denial, etc. Seems sensible enough. There would seem to have been some instances when eve...

Undocumented/Unreleased content

I was just wondering - having delved deep into the code and data files for a great many classic games, has anyone working on ScummVM discovered any obscure/unreachable easter eggs, content that was included but never used, etc? Such things are rare, of course, but not unknown, and I thought I'd ask ...

In Beneath a Steel Sky:

Foster: (referring to an android) Is he dangerous?
Joey: It's certainly stupid enough to constitute a threat.

I actually prefer the floppy intro, for the music as much as anything else.

however the models are *the* single worse piece of 3D anything ive ever seen, it looks like your playing with a bunch of 99p wood carvings Of course, in Grim Fandango they were supposed to look like simple puppets (They're actually called calaveras), it was part of the artistic style of the game, a...

Remember when insult swordfighting was actually funny?

Personally, I absolutely LOATHE Zak McKraken - it's utter trash. Maniac Mansion had its flaws, not least a tendency to get stuck in an unwinnable state far too easily, most often by random encounters with the Edisons, but it was still enjoyable and humourous, and the difficulties could be forgiven g...

Scary bits in Beneath a Steel Sky [spoilers, obviously]

Anyone else find certain parts of Beneath a Steel Sky to be very effective horror pieces, despite the game's slight vein of humour? The horde of dormant androids in the cathedral, or the bodies hidden in the basement lockers? (The fact that the ambient music cuts away in those bits leaving you in un...

This may have been requested before, but might it be possible to have a configuration option in scummvm to just disable those godawful arcade games once and for all? It might be far too difficult or kludgy to do, but even just an option to extend or disable the time limit for those games would be a ...
